Bike Kill is always a crazy smashed up AMAZING time!
I was at Bike Kill I, II, and III. Used to live across the street from where it takes place :) and lived with folks involved in putting it on...

photo's from Bike Kill III.... that dirty mattress is the most dirty gross mattress I'd ever seen... I'm not even going to tell you what I saw being done to it...
unfortunately I've had to miss Bike Kill # 4 and 5 bc I've been out here in LA. This is one of my favorite Brooklyn events of all time!!! If anyone ever has the opporttunity to attend and participate, I highly recommend it.

Brad and myself will be there around June 28-July 4, 2008. We will be driving an RV from Brooklyn BACK to LA. Anyone thats up for that stretch of a road trip should let us know! A one-way flight there, and the RV trip back! How's that sound? Maybe we could get a few RV's!

I would much rather venture over there with a group I already feel comfy with.
As far as myself getting out there like I was able to do in PDX, it still might be within the realm of possibilities.
I might be able to find a job with a trucking outfit that will hire me and I might be able to get a load out that way.
Or, I'll just have to stash away some funds and either have a motorcycle w/bicycle hook-up, or....
Consider it a vacation and roll with y'all.

For all intents and purposes, yes, I'm afraid.
Those weigh stations you see all along different points of the freeway usually pull random inspections.
Not to mention the fact that NYC has no adjacent truckstops that I would know of for 53's.
PDX OTOH, has a sizeable timber and mineral industry, so that's why that particular trip was more than doable for myself.
So, we'll have to get uber-creative on this one.
2500-2600 miles one way will need to have an oversight advisory commitee assigned.
Or something.
