******Sentiments*****
The thing that irks me the most is that; that idiot, truly did not know how much that bike really meant to me. I didn't get a bike to impress and shit. I got it (a bike that is) because all I wanted to do was ride. I then later learned that it helped me for when I got too stressed out, too depressed, to pissed off. etc.
She was always there for me, always.
And never failed to give me the right answers to my problems. "Pedal"
Oh and the memories! -_-
My first crash.
The falls, near fatal catastrophes and others*.
All the spots she's allowed me to see. (Scenic Spots) .
Honestly, if it wasn't for that bike, I probably wouldn't have seen some spectacular places in Los Angeles.
Getting Hit by a car
Learning how to skid on her
Finishing my first Wolf Pack
.
FOR FUCKS SAKE, Portland!!!! . And the Legendary Zoo Bombs.
Scarlett went through all of that with me. And now she's gone.
Ha! My mom would say that I would never ever get off that thing [Bike].
Then that got me thinking.....what If I could be half man, half bike?
To become one with your bicycle.
Little did I know, I already was.
Scarlet, darling. I'll miss you so so very much. I'm sorry our time together in harmony was cut short. But Trust me. I will "Never Forget & Always Remember"
******About*******
So I decide to go to a Birthday Party out in Westwood.
Bring out some Ridazz after 323/213 Polo.
Hang out, drink, have some fun, etc.
I go out for a smoke and someone says to move my bike inside. It'll be a lot safer.
(It was near the driveway out to the road)
So I do
My mistake was, to let my guard down, thinking, "Oh hey! It's West Wood!"
Naive little fuck......
Drink some more.
Pretty Much, I woke up 4 miles away from the actual party. The next morning.
Took me about 2 hours to get anywhere near it, due to bad directions and not really knowing that area.
****Note**** It was like 11sh (HOTTT)
I finally grow tired of it and find a library.
Get to the place, and this "Bro" opens the door. Cause apparently the party was hosted at some dorm or some shit.
I tell him, I left my bike here and blah blah blah..
NOTHING.
Nothing at all. & I can't do anything about it.
Meh, but what can you do. Just learn from your mistakes and move the fuck on.
Lock up no matter what.
And to the Asshole who stole my bicycle, If by any chance you're reading this.
Know this. You not only stole a material thing, but part of my life, This WAS my transportation, my escape, my friend. . . . . . . . . .
P.S. Fuck You. You better not let me catch you riding around with that frame. Because if I do. . .
reply
*I went to the Library to go on google maps*
& I will be posting some pictures of Scarlett. In a while.
But i guess, you guys won't be seeing me for a long long time.

Hey.. what's the address exactly to this place? My bf's neighbors had a crazy ass party Thursday night (he lives on Selby), could it possibly be the same one (though he lives on the corner of Selby and Ohio, that seems different from the cross streets you listed ?) Just let me know and maybe if it's the same house we can ask his neighbors.. there's a cool rider that lives there.

Alfredo, this is exactly how I felt when I had my Bernice the Barracuda stolen from inside my truck a couple years ago.
I assembled her, got a rare leather troxel banana seat, and had Paul from Atomic Cycles tune her up.
Rode one CM and the scarf ride on her and she got me through some of the worst of times.
The feeling was an absolute void. Yes, I bawled my eyes out to my roommates' entertainment. Even worse, I'm almost certain I found her on ebay with some UGLY ass mods attached to the original frame to try and mask what it was.
R.I.P. Bernice.

Bummer. I say the first thing you buy is a u-lock. Then hit up the co-ops and see what they got.

Dusky, it's the very same house. On Ohio and Selby.
Down the street from some Church or something like that.
I'm still looking for some pictures.
But if you could do that, that would be uber awesome.
I'm thinking of going back and asking people in the vicinity.

Unfortunately those huge house parties can attract unsavory characters sometimes, my bf's housemates had a party and they shut it down when they discovered 3 of his housemate's laptops got lifted and purses were robbed... : But negative vibes aside, I talked to him today, and he's gonna try to get his housemate to talk to the head of the house and see if they can get any info on your bike... I'll keep you posted if I hear back anything.

Oh darling! I am sorry your bike was stolen! My heart breaks for you! Even though we've never met!
That was one of the most beautiful little tributes I've ever read. It made me go and hug my bike. I'm glad I am not the only one so deeply attached to my bicycle.
You shall find a new steed and build new memories with her.

I see dylan is hooking you up with the essentials - totally super awesome! This community is AMAZING because of moments like these. We rescue each other from moments of despair, we band together like a muthafuckin' rubberband ball!
If anything happens to fall thru, the frame isn't right for you, or you need any other parts, the Bikery has tons of frames and lots of parts.
