Downtown Art Walk Ride

So a couple months ago I was riding round downtown late at night and all of a sudden, there were all these people walking around and stores were open and crowds were out on the street and I thought to myself... man this really feels like vibrant place. I found out later that I stumbled across Downtown Art Walk. I went back last month and had such a blast! Accordion Marching Band, street art, crowds.... Good time had by all. Even ran into three different people I know from rides. So eventually, I got to thinking: you know what's missing? Bicycles. Lots of Bicycles.
So what it comes down to is I'm gonna start a ride every second Thursday to Downtown Art Walk!
But I need your help.
Thing is I live about a mile from downtown and really want to open this up to the whole city... So, if there's anyone out there Westside, NoHo, Pasadena, WeHo, wherever else, who wants to help me to get this thing together, speak up.
As always, more people = more fun!

I always have some fart-work up during the art walk and I most always ride my bike down there and congratulate myself on another frog well done so I heartily support this ride., See you there!

You may want to talk to Dave, http://eecue.com/ He runs a site called surprisingly enough, Downtown Art Ride, http://downtownartride.com/ I ran into him a couple of months ago at the walk and he was talking about resurrecting the ride.

Thanks for the info User1... I sent Dave an email about this. From the site it looks like he stopped running the ride due to lack of time. Perhaps the offer of some teamwork will get him interested again....
Oh, if anyone wants to get in touch with me about this, it's

I'm sick as a dog and will most likely miss the art walk. Boo. If anyone makes it downtown please stop in to Art Slave Gallery. 216 S. Spring st. (at 2nd) 2nd St. Cigars and Gallery just around the corner. I have several pieces at both places.

A good place to meet up at is MOCA. After 5pm it's free. Both Grand and Geffen will be open. I've already seen the Geffen show, so my vote is for Grand.

This was as the kids say, "off the hook!". Crimebo rocked, real entertaining clown, and for free! wtf! Lots and lots of groovy peeps, and some pretty good galleries. The place is turning into a zoo. So get down there before the cops put an end to the festivities.
Oh yeah, if you want to see everything, get there early!
