So this weekend I started fiddling around with setting up an internet radio stream, check it out and let me know if it streams well...

Would be nice to see something online for when they talk about some programs or files.

Cool. It keeps dropping for me every once in a while, but I wonder if it's just my own internet...

Yeah, could be cool to show notes on the landing page about the current show...

I added three different qualities of stream. For those that want to know, I am using Icecast2, mpd (music player daemon), and mpc (music player client)... on a Virtual Private Server it's pretty easy to setup. To get different streams I made multiple outputs in the mpd configuration with different qualities, and then in Icecast2 configuration I made multiple source and mount points.
Anybody have any ideas for things to play?

Or something to use if for?
I had an itch to scratch, so I will probably take it down in a month if I can't find another use for it.

PC has a point. I had a hard time masturbating to this stuff last week too.
For stuff to listen to, maybe there's a list we can chose from?
Speaking of radio, did you guys ever listen to
spamradio?

Anyone have any recommendations for internet radio stations with music that is good to work to?

check shoutcast.com, there's tons of different stations
itunes has a bunch built right into the radio station folder too
i use shoutcast through my phone sometimes on my lil solo rides, so many awesome stations, i bump it out of 1 or 2 of these x-mini speakers:

another directory: http://dir.xiph.org/
also: littleradio.com, and killradio.org are two other LA based stations in addition to dublab.com ... don't know much about littleradio, or killradio ... but daedelus' stuff on dublab is da bomb ... their electronic stuff is good

For working all day I like groovesalad at somafm. There's also tons of stations at lastfm. The thing I hate about lastfm is that they make you now click a continue button every 45 minutes, or every 6 hours if you are logged into them.
