I love when I'm on my bike... and somebody else on a bike, or in a car loaded with bikes realizes "hey I know that bike", and we pull off to the side of the road and talk about bikes, as everyone else on the road drives by rubbernecking, which is exactly what happened today with Stevo & Randy. It's like we're part of a secret society except it's not secret, and everyone else is just too lazy to join.
I must confess that i had never heard of Harry Enfield until someone posted a Youtube clip on hear some months ago. Then i was hooked.
And i really think you'd appreciate Leonard Rossiter's Reginald Perrin character and TV show from the 70s. He's a man who hates, or at least bored with his job, life, authority, etc. and tries to sabotage his life and still finds success. Sharp British humor at its best. If you're a quick reader i could lend you the Omnibus which covers the whole series.
And Liz, it was a nice way to end the evening bumping into you. We had just left visiting Harry and i see this lone rider with a blinky light riding toward us and i said 'biker' to Randy and as we pass, she yells 'that's Liz!" I recognized the blue jacket but you were riding by too fast (as usual) for me to be sure, so we turned around and chased you, except being in a car, we had to stop at all the red lights.
So annie and I met up at scoops we delighted on two scoops each ourselves and brought harry a tub with four assorted flavors. we got some ice from pure lock and wet proofed the tub in a box with to plastic bag liners. we were going to make the voyage to st. josephs through griffith when we ran into nicole who heard what we were doing and she was in her car and offered to drive us there. well at least the ice cream made it frozen and chilly cold. we had a great time with harry and his spirits are up. although there is still a lot of uncertainty as far as a final diagnosis and or a prognosis of his bed rest time etc. Annie, Nicole and I were later joined by stevo who came in round 7pm and then John, Zuko and another beautiful lady who also happens to be an alc'er and Im so sorry i forgot your name. Anyway, it was awesome to see how we come together as a community and all see each other at a hospital visiting a friend. I love you harry! And I love you guise! all of you guize. I love you guyse. really guyze.
I think Harry probably set some kind of record for visitors yesterday. The Tren Way ride arrived at St Joseph's sometime after 9pm last night. After Stevo came down from the room, four of us (Marino, Crespin, Dave and myself) decided we'd go up and visit. Since it was after visiting hours, we had to declare we were all his cousins (don't we look like we're all from the same family?)
When the guard looked at us and asked, "Are you all family?" I suspect the same thing went through all our heads: we are indeed a family, in the best sense of the word. Like PC said at the start of this thread, "I love you guise". And it's 10:30 in the morning and I'm definitely not drunk.
Harry was in his usual good spirits - lots of joking around. It looks like he'll be out of there soon, which I think will be the best thing for him, as long as he takes it relatively easy. Maybe he just needs to remember that he's not 15 anymore?
Visiting folks in the hospital is hardly my idea of a good time, but the way it happened last night it almost was FUN.
i've been consumed by the internets almost all day w/ a brief escape to do laundry and to go hang out and eat elotes and sno-cones at the Lotus Fest...anyhoo, alll this interneting has rekindled my <3 for youuu Ridazz... You're on my myspace, my facebook, my wizzao, my emails, my gchats, all up in my picasas and flickers.... and all day i have been looking and loling at funny pics and awwwing at tender MR moments. and as I was typing this I received a much needed call from Marcus and told him about stuff here and he told me about stuff there... anyway I am sooo excited for a super fun Ridazz summer and I am feeling all mushy and lovey! I love you GUISE! ((((cyperhug)))))
I love all of my personfriends, and that means YOU YOU YOU!!!
And I especially love my personfriends user "SKIDMARCUS" and user "PREZ-OG-C-ID-B!-RAD!-USA!" Oh, how I pedaled furiously on my little ASCII bicycle trying to keep up with them when they left town, but alas and alack it was all for naught!!! I was winded and I finally just pulled over to the side of the road and cried. I know they will be back, but I cannot wait!!!
But you are all special, and I will never forget you until the day I am deprecated!!! I'm PAM!!!
I want PC love......and just a little bit of roadblock on the side with some mixedemotions sprinkled....yeah. Thats some good loving! Oh and don't forget the Extra 400 + ridazz please, that would be SOME ice cream.
We should all bath in soy milk and confess our love. Yeah....
Dear Midnight Ridazz,
It has been so long. And you are different. But so am I. So I still love you. And now I can ride a bike again. So I hope to see you all soon, see old faces, meet new ones, and share the love.
