No tools and no pump!!! Damn some people are useless. If your not smart enough to carry your own much needed supplies, then you deserve to be stranded. An ounce of precaution is a pound of remedy....
shit, one time i had gotten 2 effin flats
and one some riders stopped and asked what happen and i was like i got another flat they were like oh damn that sucks. and rode off
and sooo this girl stopped and asked what happened and i was like my 3rd flat she gave me her spare i bought her beer and i got laid.
You know, every time I happen to roll past the circle-jerk of a club that rides up here, I notice $2,000+ bikes, but not one has a sign of a patchkit or pump on board.
I guess when they get in trouble, they just call mommy, or wifey, or someone like that.
but srsly some people think its a race to the finish. for me, im not too keen on directions esp from a bicycle pov since im used to driving and i don't want to get lost in an unfamiliar area so i try my best to keep up with people whom i assume know the area better. though i do think its kind of douchey to just sprint in front of everyone and "steal" the pace away from everyone else. not everyone is a seasoned rider so cmon dudes, don't leave people behind. it really sucks. if you want to race and hustle, you know who to ride with.
God you guys swear. All you "carry your tools" people are telling me that you have never ever in your life happened to forget to bring tools? NEVER?! oh my fucken god it's such a fucken pain in the ass to let someone borrow my tool. waahh waahh waaah. I thought MR wasn't supposed to be like that? If it was a hot girl you'd all be trippin over yourselves to be the first to be her "savior". get over yourselves.
i went out with my friend on a ride, and i didnt have necessary items. it was supposed to be a short ride, he left his patch stuff in the car, then 5-6 miles out he got a flat. i had to drive back to to his car and pick him up. i never had have been without tubes, patch kit, wrenches, pump since. learned the hard way but wont make that mistake again. its good learning curve.
lesson : take your shit for a ride, even if the snaps you took before doesnt want make you turn around and get the patch kit.
