recommended single speed would be the key word. Won't discriminate against gears. Wise is on some race team now anyways, so maybe we'll try to not ride with the likes of him.

So what weekends are we looking at? In Feb there's:
2-3
9-10
16-17
23-24
Sat. 9 is the Wolfpack tandem race
Sun. 24 is the last stage of the Tour of California (Pasadena).

So... do you want to do this ride on your birthday (or the day before) or are you saying pick another date?
Studiodrome is pretty democratic from my experience. That is, until everyone starts getting whiney and making stupid demands and starts asking silly questions like "does the Mulholland Massacre go on Mulholland?"
