Unfortunately .75 million people do not make the other 24.25 million shine.
With Texas having the largest percentage of religious people in the US, and considered the buckle in the bible belt, the world is my oyster in pointing out how whack these people are. The stories have been coming out for years like the one I posted above. It's not something new. Their whacked out beliefs originate from their religious beliefs.
There's a shit load of examples to point to. Can keep this thread active in making my point if you need proof. Here's one I just ran across today that I thought was pretty funny.

anyone who supports the death sentence is ignorant. its unfortunate intelligent politicians have to pretend to support it and pretend to be religious among other things to get the populous to support them.

As long as you don't attract any unwanted attention to yourself in these "places", you'll be fine.
I love the fact that Texas has the "Castle Laws" which exempt a home/property owner from criminal prosecution for killing an unwanted intruder on their turf.
Over here, the state legislature does everything they can to make an obvious perpetrator seem innocent.
However, they have done poorly by placing "idling restrictions" on trucks for the first time this year, but since I'm the only one here who gives a rats-ass about that profession, who cares.

Did you even bother to read the story about this dude? Or even watch the videos? What unwanted attention did this dude do? Listen to heavy metal music? Have a skull tattoo on his arm? High school crap like stealing cars? Please explain.

You know, the story's fuckin' lengthy, but I get some of the facts now.
The guy was charged and then executed for allegedly burning down his house.
Yes, they could've followed through with a more thorough investigation to have prevented this guy from getting the chair.
But, you're just making it sound like the entire state is out to get you.
It's a nice place and one of the states I'm taking off to once I'm able to get back into what I was doing before.
If you don't want live there, then don't.
