B-Rad has been trying to hold a weekly ride out there but there hasn't been much of a turn out. Skidmarcus knows more details.
Try to make it happen.

Critical mass is the only big ride that I could find. There's a monthly mr type ride in San Jose, but that's a bit far from San Francisco.
As for routes, I rode across the Golden Gate over to the north side of the bay. You can catch the ferry (as in boat) from 2 different points across the bay...they have bike racks in the ferries.
They have a ton of cheap/free walking tours up there. Everything from food to architecture...I saw a bunch of shit I never would have found on my own. Yes, I know it's geeky to go on a tour, but wtf.

SF has its own bike culture which is almost completely incompatible with ours...polo is an exception.

Amazing isn't it?
There's as many different bike cultures as there is human cultures. Insanity.

Only place I want to hit up if ever happen to be headed that way again is "The Rock" itself.
That and I hear there's a ton of other haunted and paranormal sites that relate back to the days before the city became synonymous with Hippie-culture.

I can't remember what was so nice about Dolores Park? My grandparents lived across the street from it. I did too right after college. Nothing but bums all day long.

Dolores Park has a nice polo game lately. Its not as ghetto as it used to be.
The best way to access the bike scene in THE CITY is to just go over to the bar Zeitgeist and drink a few beers.
The crowd is mostly riders and they have a nice backyard with bike parking.

That bum on the left looks very disturbing. Kinda sad they don't an agency or something that can deal with this problem.
