I'll more than likely be doing a ride out to this. There's also Midnight Social that does a ride out in this area on Thursdays. I'll get in touch with them about this. I'm sure we'll do some kind of ride after this.
In the mean time, if you're thinking of going to this, RSVP now. These things fill up to capacity.

this is a really good post...
i think everyone should attend... get all worked up during the lecture, and then forget what they're supposed to do...
Climate change is a bitch!!! I dont know if we're gonna fix this one... I think we're doomed...
But I guess critical mass wont be the only excuse for girls/boys to dress in their underwear

Last communique:
I'll be heading out and gone from the comfort of my computer. So just needed to post a couple of last minute things.
Registration opens at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be distributed on a first come-first served basis and only to the persons present at registration. We will release unclaimed reservations at 7:15 pm.
***Parking is free. Please enter through the Allen Gate on Orlando Road.
***Reception will be held outdoors.
The Allen Gate is on the north side of Huntington Park. We'll be coming in from the south side. There are entrances on the south, east, and north sides of the park. If we're lucky and we play it right, we'll be able to roll through the park at night to the north side.
You can reach me through my phone number if needed.

Well I thought this was going to finally be the moment I hit a home run and not have anyone show up for the ride. But right before the entrance to the park, a rida by the name of James rolled up next to me looking for this event. He ended up seeing the ride posting here. So technically I haven't hit my homer yet.
The lecturers were a bit disappointing for me. Seemed liked the overall impression I got from them was, "don't worry, be happy!". They, for the post part, felt that the temperature rise here and the rest of the world is not that big of a deal and technology, yet discovered, will solve our problems. I guess it's no big deal that we'll see the world population rise to 9 billion in the next several decades, and that we don't even do that good job managing resources now. Technology will find a way.
Event Rundown available from Zoloco.
Pleasure meeting you James and good luck with your project at the Art Center. Wish you the best.

Oh forgot to add, that park is nice park for starting rides. Great location! Good food is near by, public bathrooms at Union station and liquor store a couple of blocks away.
