i've been starving at like 1 in the morn and just rode on down to carl's jr. on santa monica and labrea. The door was locked so i had to use the drive through. But nobody ever talked to me at the order box. So i just rolled up to the window behind a car waiting. the guy took my order! I just waited on the grass off to the side and he called me up when my order was ready. He even gave a me a free coke for waiting.

Now if' i'm ever hungry late at night i know where to go. He has served me up meals about 3 times passed 1 am.

Not exactly a burger consisting of someone whom I broiled after an argument, but the consistency is right nonetheless.

BK and Jack In Da Crack have a strict policy of only serving cars at the drive-thru.
Apparently, like doctors, the owners of these establishments are vag's when it comes to liability and such.
"Oh, but a car might roll over you if it speeds up accidentally, we don't want to get sued for wrongful injury!!!"

You can walk up to the window while wearing your Winter Formal get-up (I rocked a member's only jacket) and tell em' you need your fucking ice cream because J-Lo's waiting in her limo and she wants some damn vanilla.

It worked.

This woman is suppose to be environmentalist? With three children, I would have been far happier if she had 1 or 2 kids and drove a Hummer!

Environmentalists tend to avoid the topic of population control. Too touchy. But the politically incorrect issue is becoming unavoidable as the global population lurches toward a predicted 9 billion people by mid-century. Will there be enough food? Enough water? Will planet-heating carbon dioxide gas become ever more uncontrollable?

Now comes a study by statisticians at Oregon State University focusing on the elephant in the room. If you are serious about your carbon footprint, think: birth control.

The greenhouse gas impact of an extra child is almost 20 times more significant than the amount any American would save by such practices as driving a fuel-efficient car, recycling or using energy-efficient light bulbs and appliances, according to Paul Murtaugh, an OSU professor of statistics. Under current U.S. consumption patterns, each child ultimately adds about 9,441 metric tons of CO2 to the carbon legacy of an average parent--about 5.7 times a person's lifetime emissions, he calculates.

"Many people are unaware of the power of exponential population growth," Murtaugh said. "Future growth amplifies the consequences of people's reproductive choices, the same way that compound interest amplifies a bank balance."

Given how much less the average developing nation consumes per capita, the impact of a child born in the U.S., along with all his or her descendants, is more than 160 times that of a Bangladeshi child, the OSU research found. And the long-term impact of a Chinese child is less than one fifth the impact of a U.S.-born child. But as China, India and other developing nations hurtle toward prosperity, that is likely to change.

the article is talking about burgerville.. and whats funny is that when the 25 or so us went to portland in June, we tried biking through the burgerville drivethru since the inside was closed.. and the only person they served was meow because they then realized we were all on bikes. it sucked.. and NOW they revise their policy?

It's the McDonald's on Washington & Hill, just below (or is it above?) Broadway. Stillline orders from there late at night at least once a week. They're cool like that. I swore off fast food for a long time, but if they'll serve us in the middle of night, on a bike, I'll grub on it. : )
