i agree with huey
going west on los feliz is slightly uphill which isnt bad but there is a lot of traffic and they drive pretty fast.
going north on cahuenga, it's only single lane so it gets hectic. going south is double lane.

its quick but not as fast as wolfpack or bicykillers. although a good amount of TNS regulars go on wolfpack and bicykillers.

i got there around 8:15 and was the only one there until liquidpremium and his friends showed up just around 8:30. not every ride meets up and hangs for half an hour or an hour before riding.

Well... when they got back to the station they managed to negotiate the escalators and get to the parking lot (amazingly enough). One girl puked in the bushes.
One of us had a serious talk with the soberer one of the group after I left, so hopefully they lived to party another a day.

That's what my ride is all about. All of our core group has to be at work in the morning, so we run a tight ship. We are always back @ the metro station in time for people to catch the train home.
Sometimes what we do for people who want to ride a few extra miles is split up at the end. For ex. if it's a ride that ends @ Union Station, some of us will ride back to the Valley and others will take the Red Line.

OK - I love the idea of hills, but I have some proposed mods for the route, including the sneaky way we found into Lake Hollywood. But at the very least, if we're doing Cahuenga, detouring into Universal City from Lankershim is well worth it. It drops us back onto Cahuenga just below Barham. Ideally, we Cahuenga it to Mulholland, cross The 101, and then repeat the route from Ssturday morning.
I guess the 'Heart of the Valley' route I found yesterday afternoon will have to wait.
And speaking of finding things, I just found a whole new Gorillaz album. And a free one at that.

that's not how it works man. we have to do everything squeaky clean not to attract unwanted attention. in fact we got pretty lucky 2nite. long beach PD was checking for fare jumpers at the station and rounded up about half a dozen people.

I'm sorry to cancel, but my grandmother died yesterday so I am attending a memorial ceremony. We almost never cancel rides. Not to worry, we'll do this ride on another full moon night. Actually, we're gonna try to do a climbing ride near just about every full moon.
