Chris could use some help

Chris is not doing so well right now. He is in the bathroom throwing up blood and I am concerned for him. He refuses to go to the hospital and I am not sure what to do. I don't really know if this will work or not, but I am hoping for someone to come drop off some medication for him. I would go out and get it myself, but I don't really know anyone who I can buy it off of. I know it is late, but he is suffering right now. He refuses to ask anyone for help, or even admit how bad the situation is. I know how much smoking has helped him in his struggle with his health issues, so I thought that it might help him feel better if he can smoke a little bit. If you can help him out, you would be doing a great thing. I know it's a long shot, but I feel like I need to do something to try and help him feel better. We live in Alhambra, and I can reimburse you for your efforts. I just want to see Chris feel better.

Coughing up blood doesn't sound like a marijuana fixed problem. You need to go to county is you don't have insurance. County USC/UCLA in downtown is your best bet. If it's really bad I have a car and can take you.

i'm aware of some of his health issuse,
Please take him to the hospital it is way more serious than a bowl can fix, he needs help ASAP.
i doesn't matter what he refuses to do, you need to take control of the situation and get him to the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center,
if the problem is cash, they'll work with you,
With smoking, your just soothing the pain the the damage is still taking place.
Chris, please go!
Denise, Please take him!
YOU CAN NOT AVOID THIS.
79 that shit!

If anything, take him to a medical marijuana physician. You might be able to find a place with same day appointments available...he will most certainly get approved...and will be able to go to a store and buy medical grade today...and have easy access to it from here on out.

Chris has stomach cancer. The doctors said he'd be dead a few months ago. Western medicine is a failing institution...maybe they can do something for him, but then again, maybe he'll just be subjected to sitting in an uncomfortable waiting room for hours, given a bunch of meds and shuffled out the door... Chris has spent plenty of time at hospitals and doctor's offices from what I know, and has a right to make the choice to go or not go. Between Denise and Chris, I believe they are can make reasonable judgments. That's just my opinion.

I called Drooby, he said he can call and help Chris out. I offered to drive if necessary.
I'm kind of with you, krista. but it's not western medicine, it's the health-care system.

I'm with hospitalization on this one, get him there and get it checked out.
Once he's stabilized and able, perhaps a later trip to a Tijuana doctor is in order.
There seems to be plenty flocking there to get additional medical assistance.

Wow, this is uh... embarrassing. I had no idea she posted this until right now when I got a concerned phone call.
Yes, I was throwing up blood last night, and I didn't go to the hospital. The only thing they can do for me really is try and stop the bleeding, and give me pain killers. Once they know I have cancer, they won't treat me for anything else until I at least try to do something more for the cancer. This, and many other personal reasons have prompted me not to seek any further medical attention unless it is an emergency, and I am in the highest level of pain.
They don't have much to offer me except life support and cancer treatment, one I don't need, the other I don't want. A drip line of THC would be a novel idea though.....
I have far too much living left to do to get stuck in a hospital again. My time in the hospital has been the worst in my life.
As the saying once went, I prefer to die on my feet than to live on my knees.... Now, I know that might sound dramatic, but I assure you it was not a rash or overly emotional decision. This is my second battle with cancer, and I have total confidence I will remain victorious.
I hope her concerned post didn't worry anybody too much. I am a strong dude, and I will be fine. I still plan on working full time to support my household and girlfriend. I still plan on having an amazing time riding my bike with you rascals. I just need a bucket-o-weed to mask the pain sometimes, and times are tough, so I can't afford anything for a few more weeks.
I really wish she wouldn't have posted this in such a public manner. There is nothing to do but smoke a fatty and enjoy life. If someone wants to come drop something off for me, I can gladly give you some beer or rum or wine or food.

You're a brave dude....I can barely handle the flu....If the least they can do try to stop the bleeding, you really should do that. Otherwise, sounds like you have a plan and hope to see you out soon. No need to be embarrassed....be well Chris.

Once I get a paycheck I was planning on doing that. I know where to get the prescription easily and all of that, it's just a money issue at this point. I can get herb with or without the card, but obviously it would be nice to be legal, be able to receive deliveries and whatnot.

that is true, it is their right make their own decisions for themselves and their lives.
but we're people who care and love that guy and all we want is whats in the best interest for his health, being uncomfortable in a waiting room is no reason to not go and seek medical attention.
The doctors said he'd be dead a few months ago. Western medicine is a failing institution...maybe they can do something for him, but then again, maybe he'll just be subjected to sitting in an uncomfortable waiting room for hours, given a bunch of meds and shuffled out the door...
I'm sure seeing a doctor who can possibly prevent more bloody puke is better than accepting what a doctor said a few months ago.
it really doesn't matter how you feel about western medicine. ..you should encourage him in seeing a Dr.

Actually, having been caretaker to two people as they died of cancer, I agree with Chris on this one 100%. Traditional Western treatment is not as infallible as many seem to believe it to be- just look up the success rates of most chemo/radiation treatments in JAMA or the New England Journal of Medicine, with particular attention to the most recent and groundbreaking studies into matching specific treatments with specific cancers.
Coughing up blood is not normal for a healthy person, and in that case should necessitate a race to the E.R. But when you know the cause, especially when it's cancer, there's a very limited amount that the doctors can do for you. Most of the courses of treatment they provide only prolong the period of discomfort and pain while severely restricting quality of life. In some cases (non-terminal cancers) the trade off is only temporary, and therefore worthwhile. In others, it's just unnecessary agony for the patient and their loved ones.
Keep on fighting, Chris. We love you.
