Hey... Ray asked me to post... can anyone bring out a soundsystem for this ride? Ray has a playlist made and ready, we just need a soundsystem.
If you have any info, please email me, or call Ray at eight one eight two seven four eight four three six.
Had a double dose of polo and mileage action as the splinter from N Hollywood decided it was time to chase down the pack.
All in all, a good night of good 'ole fashioned annoying the neighbors and scaring the piss out of people with the almighty 135dB's!!!!
Hey, Ray, I had to bail when we rode back by the Walgreens, but I had a great time. I was a fun time, and a great route. Even the LEMMING detour into the Grove was as funny as it was ridiculous. All in all, SUCCESS.
Thanks for putting the ride together RayRayRay. Great route and good peeps. Had a blast rolling through the Grove too. Sorry I couldn't finish the ride, but I had to cut out for the train.
BTW, I got to the station 2 minutes late, and that was suppose to be the last train. I called the emergency dispatchers to see what my options were. They told me there was another train coming! Sure enough, another train was heading south 15 minutes after the last train was suppose to be there. Don't know how long that's been going on, but the freaking train had quite a few peeps on it. Even some drunk chicks!
I had a fun time.
I got a late start. I saw a lot of less experienced ridazz get dropped early on because of the hilly start to the ride on sunset and beverly.
Who was the person or persons that hi-jacked the ride into the Grove?
What's the point of that?
Mobbing a pedestrian area with a bunch of bikes?
Ensuring that people will fall on the tracks? (at least 2 people did).
First off ... ride-jackers are assholes. Period. Organize your own ride.
Inevitably most ride-jackers do stupid shit and drag us places we don't belong.
The trip to the grove was a minor inconvenience for me ... but I saw one guy fall pretty hard. I'm not sure is bike was ridable after that.
and what's up with the guy with the five year old looking little girl trying to do the ride? she still had on training wheels. and neither of them had lights. thats just all around dangerous in my opinion
As much as it's cool seeing the looks on people faces when we ride through... those tracks are bad news. Every ride... I've seen people eat it around me.
I wished I made the ride but from what I read... Good Job rayray!! Yo... is there gonna be a Winter thing? Would be sweet!!
the person that hijacked the ride was User1. I saw a couple people fall and it was pretty lame to have to turn around with everyone looking. dumb move to go in there but shit happens I guess.

Didn't know all of that happened.
Myself and the key associates of the 818 Pimp Squad came rolling down 3rd after everyone was chilling at the Pan Pacific place.
Oh really????? I was just following what people with with the route slip said. You remember me asking a few times which way on the ride? Someone said we were going through the grove, so we went through the grove. Get your story straight before you start pointing fingers, yeah?
It's too bad some ridazz caught the rails, why wasn't there ridazz calling out "rails"?

Here, let me repeat myself, "I was just following what people with the route slip said. You remember me asking a few times which way on the ride? Someone said we were going through the grove, so we went through the grove."
You're externalizing your failures. Please stop!

True, but the ride leader handed out route slips. Plus the ride leader was in the middle of the pack. Still doesn't abolish others for not calling out the street hazards, does it?

Everybody was yelling "rails" around us.
I know i shouted it out at least once.
This may be news to you Allen but knowing about a potential hazard does not make the hazard go away.
The ride was very congested and slow at that point it was difficult for people to maneuver.
Add in peds and bike trying to take a weaving rail at an angle and its is only a matter of time before a ridaa hits the tracks from teh wrong angle.
It's really creepy and weird that you would try to blame a crash on the people who witnessed it rather than the people who hijacked the ride.
Were you up front Allen? You must have seen who jacked the ride then?
Why aren't you holding them accountable instead of trying to blame everybody else.
This may be news to you Patrick, but I can not read minds. I can only assume what happened and didn't happen from what I read. From what I read up to the point where I said you and RB should be taking some of responsibility of the accidents, no one said they tried to warn people. I jumped to conclusions just like RB jumped to conclusions.
I was one of about 15-20 riders at Fairfax and 3rd. The question of where to go from there was made. Someone said through the grove and to the park. We started down 3rd street and made a left at Gilmore. Going down the grove I was with about 8 riders. The rest were behind us. You want to hang us for hijacking the ride, be my guest. Up to that point at Fairfax and 3rd, things were going fine and people were calling out the route correctly. I had no reason to think it was being hijacked, since I knew we were going to the park.
