and this isn't some shit happening between two 13 year olds.
JP is like 24 years old and he's asking someone in his 40's what the hell is going on, on A FUCKING INTERNET FORUM.
JP, grow the fuck up and get some common sense. you're 24 years old. quit acting like a 10 year old girl.
if theres something between you and another rider, get at them on a ride and see if you can resolve shit. DONT FUCKING POST IT ON A FORUM WHERE EVERYONE CAN SEE.
you have to realize that danny is NOT some shit kid that checks these forums every day. nor does he give a shit.

Yeah, I got bit by him once, but water-under-the-bridge in person.
What I still don't get and continue to emphasize is the distance between everyone down there.
Will it really hurt to go from Pt.A someplace in the basin, to Pt.B in the Valley to bury the proverbial hatchet?
ok dude.. im 21....lol and ive tried to see whats up in person. he let me lead ppx one night and after that i said what up to him on a ride and he just keeps saying i dont know you. so dont think i just threw this up on the forums with no reason. i really dont care all that much. im just wanting to know whats up. what i did to piss him off.
maybe that's why he doesnt wanna be involved with you.
when you say something like "shit i cant steal anything from this spot because there's not enough people." it tends to piss people off. especially older folks who don't like bad apples.
you just gotta watch what you say around certain folks.
i'll give you the benefit of doubt that you haven't stolen anything in awhile but shit like that doesnt just dissipate.
just relax and shit.

it's hard to comprehend just how loser it is to be a thief when you are still a youngster. but eventually every thief grows up and figures it out. usually by mid twenties.... blame it on the poor education our system provides, the constant bombardment with messages saying we need stuff to be cool, and bad parenting.
morals and ethics are passed on to you by others in society chiefly your parents and surrounding family and friends and various people. otherwise known as informal education.
so who do we blame or who is responsible?
the parents and the surrounding influences....?
But then do we have to blame their parents and their surrounding influences...? But then do we have to blame their parents and their surrounding influences...? But then do we have to blame their parents and their surrounding influences...? But then do we have to blame their parents and their surrounding influences...? But then do we have to blame their parents and their surrounding influences...? But then do we have to blame their parents and their surrounding influences...? But then do we have to blame their parents and their surrounding influences...?

well, since we know that only the future is something we can truly have influence over I would say the blame starts today with our culture and society. change can only start right now. lets start today.
yeah thats what im doing. sucks when your broke as fuck. but i got wheels right now. need a cog/lockring though. i had a CL post going but it got erased.
Worry bout your own damn self. If you wanna steal, understand the circumstances. Sometimes people don't have many options.... and I know cus I'm experiencing one of the lowest points in my life, financially speaking, and I've thought about stealing - mainly food, but that shouldn't matter... and I'm 29 (well beyond those years someone mentioned)
In all honesty.... if you don't condone it then don't hang with people who do it... but don't come on the board and blast them, that's just as stupid!
ive got the wheels and skates up. 2 hundie for the wheels and 100 for the skates i dunno what i want for the board yet. and the bike i can sell for 300 or an offer. i just thought about selling the skateboard today. im gonna put that and the bike on CL in a min.
Seriously, July. I know what you mean. The same thing happened to me after 911. For a full three years life was really tough financially. Luckily, it never got to the point where I had to steal, but when you're looking at possibly living on the street, you consider a lot of options you might not otherwise consider. It was both humbling, and eye-opening - especially about how quickly things can change in your life, and how you can't take things for granted.
...Sorry to digress. You will now be returned to your regularly scheduled thread subject..

I can understand stealing food if your starving... But why do it when it's available for free from religious institutions. Hare krishna spot on Venice etc... But I'm talking about stealing on group rides most of all. That shit just dogs our already bad rep. It is our business. I know it hits a nerve with a lot of you but you guys have to see how much it just ain't a good look. Better for your rep to just beg. Stealing is a trust issue between us all like it or not if ur on here you are part of this community. We allake mistakes. We all go through hard times. If you are hungry hit me up. I cook all the time.
Yes. There are always other options to stealing. That's what I decided those few years back. There are always places or people from whom you can ask for help. It can be a pretty damned humbling experience, but is ultimately better than the alternatives.
