Personally, I'd like to see another happen....GloRider....even though I never met him....through his postings on this forum had an awesome Positive Mental Attitude.
There's so much hate and bullshit written on this forum for no good reason at times....we need to celebrate good times and the great friends we've met here riding our bikes.
I think another GloRide would be GloRider (R.I.P.) approved.
that's my $.02
here's the route we did on the Glo-Ride.
If it was the same route, I would take out the first stop at the 7-11. The other stops were the mulholland fountain and Lincoln Park.
haha.... THAT'S MY ROUTE! i wouldn't mind tweeking the route a bit. But uh... wait... i'm usually against repeats. We should celebrate GloRider every ride!
Glo Rider (formerly Tadpole rider)... what can I say? He was as old fixture on the early MR rides. Very prominent because he'd be one of the only people on a recumbent and he had glowing lights and a tall flag. He would ride up to the front, stop and count all the people going by and even take lots of video. He loved the rides and was one of the first to address fixing early problems. He stopped going to rides for a while and then someone, i think his relative, informed us that he had passed away after battling cancer on 3-15-2008. His legacy are his posts here and his work on a really good documentary that I was lucky enough to see, "Preachers Son's... check it out!
My name is Jason Nealey , brother of Mark Nealey aka Glorider , just wanted to say again what a great organization you have in the midnight ridazz .
I was going back over some of the pics from the glow ride and remembering my brother , anyway long story short Marks wife shipped his trike to Seattle where we had the frame repaired and then we reassembled the Catrike and I have had a chance to ride it around Greenlake here in Washington , the only thing I’ve ever seen that compares is Venus Beach in Cali .
Remember to be good to your fellow man Midnight Riddazz and live each day to its fullest .
Thanks again for the memorial service back in 07 it really meant a lot to the whole family , Glorider is remembered without pain or much grief his much loved trike is being ridden and life goes on.
Have a great ride this coming weekend .
I hope to at some point come down and ride with the ridazz and party a bit with you guys .
