People complain about the LACM, but I think the SFVCM is in good shape. It's the one that most closely matches CM as I imagine it from wikipedia, at least. No need to start drama here, leave it on that side of the hill.

First stop is Accident Site, 7447 N. Louise Ave, around mile 3, then to Jons Market, Roscoe/Winnetka, around mile 7.5 for a short pick up stop before rolling to either Winnetka Park right behind Jons or Parking Area by movie thearte on Winnetka/Parthenia to chill. Next stop will be around a 7-11 around mile 15 at devonshire/woodley. Then my last stop will probably be Tacos Mexico at van nuys/sherman way, but the route continues back to start point

im sure we all know that its supposed to be leaderless but when half the group of CM riders are under the age of 16 and they are only there to haul ass and do skids down hills, i think its smarter to plan out a route instead of watching a good ride get hijacked to a kid's parent's house.

and TNS keeps shit organized for the most part and we follow traffic laws.

I've gotta chime in...
SFVCM has been LAME lately. I can't figure out why either... We don't need a route, we DO need everyone there to understand what CM is and why they are there.
I leave early almost everytime because people want to make it their own ride, like wanting to go to fuckin Mulholland or their friend's house, or hangin in a Ralphs parking lot for almost an hour or some shit.
Sexy, Trenway peeps, BBD, Harry, Spiral... get out there with us and let's make it happen the right way.

Yo who ever leads CM or takes em wherever should bring the ride back to the starting point. Im tired of people just leaving the ride halfways and the its everybody for them selfs. SFVCM was the first ride i ever did. for over a year, it was the ONLY ride i ever did. its also the ride i broke my hand on. it holds a special place in my heart. [ its also the ride where i met Brassknuckle & Sexy for the first time. ] Also, If i havent gone in the last year, its prety much because it became SUPER LAME. i loved sfvcm because it had INSANE DIVERSITY and it was about the ride, not about getting trashed in a parking lot. its not about that anymore.

Even in the beginning times, this was sexy's ride, it never really was a CM type ride. But the only other valley rides were Brian's CruzWithUs, or Pauls PedalNPubCrawl before either of those, so it was still fun to let sexy lead the ride around.
Shit, if all the others came, I've still got JJ's number, is it worth the hassle? Nahh.

Great job leaving trash at the meet point. A full case of empty beers of all things, too.
The best part is that there was even a recycle-bike there, and people still have the forethought to trash the start point.
Recycle more = get a sound system faster.
First time out with this ride and the first thing I have to do is clean up after adults. Not what I expected from the reputation of this ride, and not an amazing first impression.
GREAT time besides that, fun ride with cool people. I can't wait till next time.

Simba 1986 Sorry about your lost. I know how devastating it is to lose a parent.
Please though. The SFVCM is a ride. It is a mass ride it doesn't necessarily need a leader. It was started with an organizers to become it own ride, it own mass. It doesn't depend on one person. Please don't cancel it when it started to gain momentum again just because you can't make it. You may have lead the ride many of time, but remember you are participant like everybody else.
People did show up tonight, unfortunately people left when they heard it was cancelled. We had a little ride tonight, it was nice. The ride would have been bigger and went on like usual if it wasn't cancelled and as always somebody will step up to lead if needed.
On a note of brightness coming out of the darkness. One of the participants tonight was Damian Kevitt.
Who is that? Remember that dude who got ran over at the i-5 Los Feliz on ramp and got carried down the freeway under the van who hit him.
I thought he was toast too. No he decided stay alive. He pulled out from under the van that hit him and survived. Very horrific story, but he is alive and thriving. He is a valley native and was at the mass tonight to promote a ride he is having to bring awareness to the hit and run epidemic plaguing our city. I would encourage you all come out and support him on the a ride he is planning.

I was posting SFVCM a while back just to keep the ride going then this guy Simba stepped in and decided to change the location to another spot.That most people included myself couldn't find thats when I decided to stop going on this ride.Simba took it upon himself to make this his ride all because he lead it a few times.Little did he know it was a peoples ride.This ride was in place long before Simba came along.
