We ran into this ride this week when we were doing a ride last night I wont mention the name here. I have a question why do you all scream out k-town likes it some gang. We rolled past and all I heard was This is K-town whos got beef over and over! Dont make the rest of us look like gangbangers on bikes, Its not just your selfs you represent but the midnight community if you post ur rides on here. considering all of the tags we see being put up on rides and all over the city, and taking into consideration what you said, seems like you're implying there aren't many good taggers here.
and btw i've talked to a couple of people that went on that ride and they both said they left early becuz they didn't like how the ride was going and the behavior on it.

I think most people have been to Crank Mob. Last night was essentially the same thing in terms of conduct. I've seen people tag, steal, piss everywhere, and be total douche bags on bikes at Crank Mob. Yet, last night some, some people are criticizing the conduct of last night as something "not accepted" by the Midnight Ridazz community. Hypocrites, I say.

I don't find any of their antics acceptable. Stealing, tagging, etc. But they do. You have got to be prepared to see this shitty ass conduct when you do go on rides like these. Its deviant, rowdy, and damn right rude. Just don't go on these rides if you don't like them. Hell, I won't.

this ride just had the worst negative vibes i have even felt. I was one of the organizers of the ride (although it was unorganized, being our first ride and all) ...We did not intend for certains events to take place, nor do I condone any of the actions that many of the riders chose to do. But what happened, happened and talking about it on the forum will not fix anything but only make matters worse.
Even though I don't admire the riders that did what they did yesterday, I do think that it takes huge BALLS to do it. (I'm not referring to stealing from other cyclists, because I think that's just ethically wrong [as a cyclists myself, I have to much respect for other riders to just take their stuff. I think it's bitch shit].)
But if you didn't like the ride, fine. Majority of the people enjoyed it. By 3:00 am we were still riding with several heads. Yes, there were frequent stops, but damnit, we didn't expect so many people to show up. For those who have ever led a ride I'm sure you know how frustrating it is to try and keep everyone together, or to simply get everyone to cooperate. Shit is fucking hard, and I just realized that yesterday. It's not easy orchestrating a ride.
Kush-Town is a ride to have fun, and there's just no simple way to define that. When a group of friends come to ride, what they is have fun; whatever that means to them. It's all about having fun. We all love to ride our bikes, but there is obviously a big diff between how we interpret fun and individual along with social expression.

if the threats and stealing continue the ride gets de-listed. there's just no tolerance for it. it's just that way here. simply keep it cool if you want to promote here. otherwise there are plenty of other bicycle forums to promote your rideyou guys dont need MR. the reputation of Midnight Ridazz depends on promoting friendly rides and everyone being cool to each other. there is no other way. I'm glad you are speaking out against the stealing. When we followed the ***** ride down the bridge, I was informed that we were invited, after I saw, Matt, I think talking to some of our guys. Talking about what? I don't know. But all I heard was, "Get on your bikes we're going to join the ***** ride!" So I got on my bike and followed everyone.
And about the fights:
I was not there to baby sit. If you were there and actually paid any attention to what was going on, you probably already know what people were doing what. I never entered any of the stores, I never partook in any of the arguments, and I never stole anything from anyone.
When we got to La Cita, I greeted the riders there, many of whom I was familiar with. Once, we got there I noticed that some of the guys started climbing shit and writing on the side wall of La Cita, which was when I started to try to get everyone to roll out.

I can tell godmode has a good heart and is being good about things. it's not easy to be a ride leader (especially if you are new to it) and tell people what to do. it really doesnt work like that. you cant really tell anyone what to do but you can influence them and be the change you want to see in the world... and I think godmode is right in there. I bet the next Kush Town ride will not be so destructive but then again its hard to calm knuckleheads. I hope things work out and I'm glad that at least some of you guys are beginning to see that ALL of the rides that are promoted on here are really meant to be fun and light hearted. Lets give this ride a chance to be part of the family.

You should have ended that ride as soon as they started attacking pedestrians, which that was right after the 6th street bridge BEFORE La Cita.
Instead you took them to La Cita just long enough to jack all our shit and then you led the get-away ride to angles flight while everyone that had their stuff stolen was in the bar.
Keep your rides in line or don't post them anymore.

I wasn't twisting. You did lead the ride away from La Cita and multiple people saw that guy riding with a wheel in his hand when they left. You didnt think it was strange to see someone in your group all of a sudden riding with an extra wheel?
I find it hard to believe that you didn't see te guy sittng around at your next stop with the wheel. I just don't believe you. Sorry.
I can understand your position as a ride leader and the fact that you can't control everything on the ride, but those guys you were with were so blatantly looking for a fight that it must have dawned on you that thing were going to go badly.
We ride with lots of "gangster lookin" kids who turn out to be really nice trustworthy people, so I don't get scared very easily but your firends freaked me the fuck out.
They were thugs screaming "K-Town Whos Hatin?!!" at the top of their lungs and blocking the bridge to intimidate riders. Then they attacked some homeless guy who was just trying to cross the street, banging and spiting on cars, throwing full bottles of beer screaming "Blast that fool Blast that fool!'

I didn't lead the way after La Cita, you really think I wanted to go up that hill? Hell no.
All I did was get everyone on their bikes and away from La Cita because of all the tagging that was going on. I was talking to some of the people from the ***** ride while the tagging was happening and I told them to stop. My friends stopped after finishing what he was doing, but other fools decided to start climbing shit and catch more tags. That's when I decided to head out. I even told some of the people from ***** that I was going to move the ride somewhere else because of the vandalism. I didn't want to burn out the spot for them. (Which probably nevertheless.)

Both godmode and nightrider have both agreed to look into getting my light back.
I want to take them at their word that they are going to do that.
I didn't make any threats or offer them any money, they are doing this just to help patch things up. so assuming they follow through, I am willing to give them the benifit of the doubt that this is a ride with good intentions that got out of control.

No, fuck that. Our route was to go to Hollywood, back down to Ktown, then Baldwin Hills plaza for a spot we discovered, and then back to Ktown. That was the route.
What actually happened:
We went to Hollywood, hung out at the grove, passed through Ktown, then straight to downtown, towards the bridge. None of that shit was planned. I can pretty much say that the ride was nothing we had in mind.
If I let it slide, I wouldn't be here on these threads wasting my time, trying to clear the whole thing up.
I was one of the organizers, but none of things we planned happened, except the Hollywood part.

a lot of stops, but i had fun, everyone was chill, a fun crowd; i decided to ditch at the park in universal city though, got to get my butt to work in the morning soo...
going up cahuenga was fun, chilled for a bit up there and saw 1 lone rider passing by, i then took the cue and followed after, going down cahuenga is a blast, zip zooom! wheee =)
