I just came back from my first time grocery shopping with my dad on bikes. To some of you, this may be a normal routine, which is awesome, but for me, this is a big accomplishment! My dad has been driving a car in this city for many years and was even a taxi driver in Alaska in the early 90's. Needless to say, he is used to driving everywhere for everything. Recently I have gotten him into riding (some of you have seen his single speed which I have taken to a few rides) and he's almost down for anything. This is awesome! Guess what else? He has gotten his girlfriend into riding a bike again, and her son as well. Awesome. What I feel most proud of is that I hear him complain like all of us now. "There needs to be more bike racks here," "This road is crap!," "This lady was on her phone and didn't even see me!" I am proud. He says "My legs feel stronger!" This is a good thing. Hopefully he comes out on a ride sometime soon. He says he isn't ready, but you don't need to be ready for a ride in the first place (unless it's a fast one, but you know what I mean) and I think he's ready, secondly. His friend who is two years older than him frequents Wolfpack. This is inspiration!

Anyway, I just wanted to share. It is possible to get your family into cycling.

 i got my dad on his bike again too.helped get the thing set up better for him and he loves it.

 i took my friend andy to crank mob this saturday for his first ride, seemed to have made good friends while there. I didnt see him for more than half the night... reason why i took him is so i would have somebody to come back to inglewood with. i got here around 4am then went to work at 6am (worst decision ever). But he seems to be eager to ride more and more after crank mob haha
