Hey guys,
Ebay wasn't much help, neither was craigslist.
Do you know any sites that are reliable sources for determining the value of a used bicycle? I'm moving and considering selling my hybrid. For information my bike is a 19" women's specific frame, 2005 Giant Cypress LX (?) Hybrid. Color is burnt orange and silver. No upgraded components. I paid $600 when I bought it new and I want to put a fair price on it since the condition is great. Your thoughts?

Mel!
Are you leaving us?
Are you hanging up cycling, or is this an extra bike?
Can we do a farewell German ride to Alpine Village for brats & beer???

$300ish would be a fairish price.
Depending on how quickly you want to sell it, $175-199 might move it a little quicker, as there's not a great demand for used hybrids, especially since you can throw some road slicks on used $80-100 mtb and make your own hybrid.
That said, you might be able to get substantially more for it if you threw on some fenders and a basket and sold it as a "Dutch City Bike Style Hybrid."
Here's the list of Giant Cypress LX's for sale on craigslist, prices tend to run between $145-350.

Hey there!
Thanks for the responses, that was helpful! FYI: this hybrid is an extra bike. When I got a hold of a Panasonic Road frame (actually, I think it's a touring) I was hooked to my road bike. Now that I train for triathlons my hybrid is just not really useful and is pretty heavy--put man one thing that is a perk for hybrids: bike is super comfy and take a beating with potholes! :)

Also, I'm not moving that far away. Pasadena to Sunland, I'm in the process of buying a house and all signs are pointing to a mortgage in about a month.
