I hereby nominate DJwheels for rider of the week and for LOTY: Lawyer of the Year (sorry to you other awesome lawyers)
He has kept us totally abreast of all the legal proceedings of the Mandeville canyon case and is also keeping tabs on the following cases:
Jesus Castillo Hit and Run
Rod Armas Hit and Run
Canyon Country Hit And Run
the recent NoHo Hit and Run
I believe he has also helped Roadblock pursue his Hit and Run case, and there are probably a few more cases that i haven't noticed that he's got an eye on as well. And given his past perseverance, I imagine he'll be keeping track of more in the future.
We would have a hard time paying someone to keep track of all this stuff and he's doing it for free. I think we are very lucky to have someone who is passionate about these cases and he's a tremendous resource for all of us.
Three Cheers!

i was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't have known the outcome of all these cases had it not been for the updates here by DJWheels. Almost always the news reports the first bloody incident of the crime but doesn't do the follow up to show what kind of sentence the perpetrator has received. I think it would outrage most people if they new that many perps don't do time that matches their crime.
I was also thinking that DJwheels could make a small stand alone reader about all of these cases as he has been in the courtroom in some of them to follow up on what's actually going on in the trial.

Wow plus a billion on this one!
If it wasn't for this man I would not have found my hit and run driver. His attention to detail, resourcefulness and dedication are unparalleled in the bicycle community. His observations feed many of the cycling blogs around town. Thankyou DJWheels for all your hard work you are an asset to the cycling community.

I know its no longer his week, but I just wanted to thank DJWheels for all his updates. Reading about incidents is frustrating because there often is no closure. DJWheels helps us to see through the legal maze and find out what is happening in cases involving the bicycle community. Thank you.
