So, this is my three-thousandth post. There will be no pictures. (I don't know how I'll manage that.) Only words. Obviously words are what have gotten me here, to 3,000, so words are what will... stay? I don't know. Words. I'm not good at making magically magical sentences in person, nor am I good at writing poetry. I once won a writing contest in 6th grade though. It's a funny story. I wasn't even at school when it happened. I think I had just gotten out of the hospital after having a spinal tap due to meningitis, and I was at home with a fucked up foot because the doctor who gave me the spinal tap fucked with a nerve, so at this point I was on crutches, not healed. Anyway, I'm notified that I get a writing award, and my prize is- guess what!- a free In N' Out hamburger. First of all, the bratty inconsideration- I hate hamburgers. Second of all, after getting a spinal tap and having a doctor tell your parents he isn't sure if you have a death-causing bacteria or semi-okay virus, you DON'T CARE about In N' Out hamburgers. Life is more important, and your special award doesn't seem so special. I threw that shit out. I wrote a lot after that. Just little stories. I used to sit in Starbucks and write stories. Hah! Now I don't write as much. I guess I write a lot of crap online. But it's nice crap. I like that we have a negative thread and a positive thread. I like that when I'm feeling negative and angry I can go and rant and I like that when I feel happy and loving I can post in the positive thread. I want this 3,000'd post to be about my love for ridaz and riding. I have mad love for this place. I've been riding with you for... what, ALMOST four months. FOUR MONTHS. That's nothing. Let me tell you, when you switch from being one of two people riding in Downtown at 1am to an entire community more, there's a big change that happens. First of all, I got a new bike. I got a new bike just so I could ride with you guys. I got a new bike before my love for bikes began. I got a new bike before I even knew anything about bikes. (Which I still kinda don't know anything... but I do know more.) Second, friends. Wow. This right here. This is where my friends are at. Sure, maybe I neglect a few people, the ones who were there before I got a new bike, but I get to see you every weekend, and that's what I look forward to. These rides are addicting. This is the one of the best things to happen to me. Before riding I was a wreck. Now that I ride, well... I'm a wreck. But still! Hahahahah. I'm kidding. You know, I think with anything, people will always have drama. We're people. Wait, why am I acknowledging this? Anyway. I really like what Borfo once said. He said "we are midnight ridazz. we all like bikes. we ride together. we all have f.u.n.. we all get silly. we all get drunk. we all get crazy. we all make out. we all play games. we sometimes fight. we all get to know each other eventually. we all go poop. we all go pee. we all think Alex Thompson needs to be put into a mental facility. we all want to ride. we all like to ride. we all will ride. we will keep riding. we ride on. we ride on..." That sums it up pretty nicely, no? With all the shit that happens, bikes stolen, fights, injuries, funny/ retarded drama on the threads, my 3,000th post that some people are too serious over (meaning they don't understand the hilarity in it), rides being cancelled, blah blah blah, we all still ride. I love you guise, so much, a lot. Maybe too much. No Rida Left Behind. Even the time I got left behind, I was still picked up by a fellow rida not too long afterwards. I will never leave a rida behind. When I ask "Are you okay?" I usually get a "yes" I once got a "I need a wrench" to which then I pulled over and looked for a wrench that I thought I had. But it's okay, because I got another rida to stop. And that's the love. Someone once said that this is the only community where you get too much help. Haha. I was a shy one, when I first came. I went to the Tie-Dye shirt making party for the Grateful Dead ride and was pretty intimidated by everyone, but everyone is a sweetheart. I've been saved by getting rides to school. I get more hugs a week than ever. Sometimes bad things happen. Sometimes my friends are mad. Sometimes I'm mad. Sometimes people get mad. Sometimes we all get together and eat. And sometimes we don't sleep. But we don't need sleep! And one day I'll go get my bike checked out and see if it needs help. I was on the Mosey once when my friend got her bike fixed without even asking. Straight up help. For love. LAV!!! Wow, this is getting sentimental. We're in this together, even if you lose hope in some aspects. There will still be a fallback. There will be us. People have plans for the future. They're amazing! People have passion! Maybe some of us are willing to be in the present. Maybe this makes us deal with the present. If it weren't for this, I couldn't say that I've ridden two different tall bikes. I couldn't say that I've bikejousted. I couldn't say that I've ridden 30 miles in a night on a BMX. I couldn't say I gained a god. Bike God!! I want to tell another story, but I don't know what it will be about. (This is the part where I end the post and say that my story will be about Midnight Ridazz, and it will be told to my grandchildren.) Except no. That would be too cheesey and easy. Like Mac and Cheese. Microwave addition. Ehh, I don't like that stuff. I prefer to cook it on the stove. Like Top Ramen. Oh yeah, another thing. I don't look at bikes or bicyclists the same. I see one on the road, and I say "You go!" Yeah!!! And the "I SAW YOU" thread. That's awesome. We're beautiful. I've met beautiful people on rides. I've met amazing, lovely, nice, people. I've met genuine, pure people. I've met stupid people. I've met mean people. But that's okay, but the amount of beautiful people I've met definitely overrules the stupid ones.
FUCK YOU, YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL. That's a chant. I don't like putting things into words. I'm not sure how I've managed to do this. We should all ride to the moon more often. And it should be everyone's birthday more often. Imagine the F.U.N. in that!!! And you know what else I love? I love the people who hate mushiness. And I love the mushy people. Not only physically. And I like riding through traffic on Hollywood Blvd.- it's a rush! And hmm.... I have more to say, but now it won't come out. Like when you're constipated. Except not really. It's like when you poop a lot, and when you finally think you're almost done, when you think that the big finale is coming, it doesn't come. It doesn't happen. So you need to MAKE IT HAPPEN. Right? Right. Anyway, about the story I was going to tell. Hmm. Forget the story. This is my story. Thank you all for reading, I've had a great time. I hope you've enjoyed my very unorganized rant. When she hits 10,000 (which won't be far off at this rate) we need to have a Chynna 10k Ride. We can make up shirts with a generic 10K Ride logo (you know, big white letters on a colored block background) and when people on the sidewalk and in cars ask the classic "What are you doing" / "What is this for" question we can say "It's the Chynna 10K Ride!" and they'll actually be satisfied with the answer. They'll be all "Oh, that's nice, they're doing a 10K ride for China."

WOW, Chynna, that was beautiful, you are fucking beautiful. I was telling Cancerchick not to long ago what a rare a wonderful community she rode into, I have so much love for all of you and who we are. And just like you said about meeting a-holes along the way, the amount of beautiful people overrules the stupid ones.
