What happened to the East Valley?

My town which was originally known as North Hollywood, and we now know as Valley Village has now turned into Garnsey, CA. Along with other random new local cities like Kester, La Paco, Hewitt, and Sepulveda.
Who are these assholes who come up with these names? And why don't they do this in the WEST VALLEY??

I don't even see the point in naming all these different cities that run right into each other in the first place.
This isn't like Utah or Texas where municipalities in most areas there have at least a good 5-50 miles of nothingness in between them for differentiation.
Garnsey Sector, Los Angeles District, LA County, SoCal Div. would be more appropriate in this overcrowded/overbuilt sense.

man, i've always wondered what the hell the google maps naming system was all about. they labeled a spot in vernon "wingfoot". WTF?!?!

I may be wrong but I think the city of Sepulveda has been around for over 30 years.

It's really convenient to have tons of tiny cities bunched together with irregular borders when gerrymandering season comes around.
See how the Second and Fifth Districts are fighting right around the area you're talking about?

Garnsey? hahah
it's a real estate game. back in the day North Hollywood was low budget everywhere. but as some neighborhoods became wealthy, they would list their properties as Toluca Lake adjacent rather than North Hollywood because they wanted to dissassociate from the (formerly) gang infested areas just north of camarillo etc... so the emerging affluent neighborhoods started to just rename themselves... valley village is an upscale area etc. no one there wants to have their homes devalued because they are technically in North Hollywood or Van Nuys or Panorama City.... I think the whole valley should just cecede from LA proper like Burnbank Glendale etc...

Whoa!
How long has this been in the works? I haven't heard a peep about any of this.
The Valley feels a little more 'methy' now.

Like why I don't see the reasoning for you promoting peace and being an instigator at the same time.
You've been on a consistent mean-streak for quite awhile now, kid.

When was this done?
Wikipedia has no info on any of these new neighborhoods.... but at least a page for all the old ones.
