San Francisco rides?

I live in San Francisco and I've been trying to find some bike groups who randomly ride at night (since I'm a night owl) and I haven't had any luck finding any. Does anyone know of any groups/rides in San Fran they can point me to? Thanks.

Stop searching and move to LA. As you can see to your right we have all the late night rides.

there is critical mass.
sffixed.com has a lot of rides, but they are more oriented towards track bikes.

bike-friendly cities (such as sf) are so beyond the whole "group ride" concept because cycling is an accepted way of life over there. you might find something on sffixed or by going to the bike kitchen. or, you could convince your non-riding friends to get bikes and ride with you.

oooh yeah there's sfcm. i assume you're a girl, so you'll have no problems meeting new riders at the critical mass, especially if you're cute. if you're a guy you might have try a little bit harder but still, sfcm should be a good place to meet some fellow riders and make some new friends to ride with.

Somehow, that doesn't seem to be the case with PDX.
They ride and bring the party at the same time.
Zoobombin' on Sunday night, kickass bike festivals throughout the year, general two-wheeled tomfoolery all around.
I dunno, after reading a couple threads related to SF-riding, I'm under the impression the general night life is sort of humdrum when it comes to bikes.

at sfcm last friday there was a totally naked dude riding around. junk out and all. some interesting bikes there as well.
anyway, i agree with the comment about sf and other cities where bike riding is such an integral part of "normal" life that there isn't really the (perceived) need for special riding events. good luck anyway.

thanks everyone for trying to help.
i'm already a member of the sf bike coalition and have been for years; the rides suck ass and they have rides super early in the morning.
i know about sffixed. i had several fixies and i still have 1 now but i disilke how arrogant and elistest those pricks are. bikes maybe an integral part of living in sf and it's true that i ride my bikes to most places but seriously, biking is fun and i love just casually socializing and making new friends; i'm not interested in being part of a scene or making a scene (unlike critical mass).
i was hoping people on here might know of a hidden group of some sort that does do midnight rides since the city is much more beautiful in the wee hours of the days without the bums pissing on our victorians.

start a new ride! post some flyers in places you think cool people that you want to meet would hang out and explain what you want out of the ride on the flyer and it will just happen.

Viral advertising, very effective when one takes fliers and sticks them in the seat-rails of random parked bikes.
With the amount of rigs up in an area like that, this could be a fun thing to pull off.

Butterlap... Wednesday nights at the Ferry building, I think it meets at 6.
Bike Polo is HUGE here. All the cycling events seem to revolve around polo, which is played five days a week at various locations around the city, but the standard meet points are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the tennis courts at Delores Park at 6:00, and Sundays at 3:00pm Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park (that's a grass game).
Also, there is Soil Saloon, which is kind of like Crank Mob -meets- Cyclocross. They make cyclocross trails through golden gate park and usually somebody brings a keg or two. Cheating is allowed if nobody catches you.

This site lists rides, but they're usually of the trails/mountainbiking variety: http://sfurbanriders.org/
Tweed Ride is awesome, they list other rides sometimes too:

Cyclecide hosts a lot of events that are more LA-style:

Also, I'm trying to put a night ride together. Shoot me a text... threeoneoh foursixthree twentysixeighty

I'm starting a group on Facebook to try to get some Midnight Ridazz-style rides going in San Francisco.
Here's the link:

Invite your San Francisco friends, when something happens we'll start with this group.
