I gashed the inside of my right knee, today...on the trailer hitch of a Hummer. I finally got it to stop bleeding. It taped up tight. But, I hope I didn't injure more than my skin. We'll see what happens. Of course it doesn't feel nice.
How it happened: I was behind a Hummer 2 who changed lanes in front of me,(okay, kinda close) and then smoked the tires. The guy said the car in front of him came to an abrupt stop. I said, "Okay, okay," and went on my way to work--where I broke out the (very well stocked, actually) first-aid kit.
This is my story for today.

Thanks, stilline! I didn't know that Hummers stopped as fast as you say, but I'm glad I'm okay. What I would give to hang out with a bunch of all of you people at Lance's restaurant...just to hang out!

The Hummer has it's own natural predators of course.
Peterbilt, Mack, Freightliner, Western Star, Volvo heavy-duty, and Kenworth are the real machines of the inner-road.
As said before, most Hummer drivers are white-collar, MBA's who had a mid-life crisis and realized too late they went into the wrong career.
Unfortunately for them, switching to a life in the sleeper is made much, more difficult by that $400,000+ mortgage, and those 4 kids in private school.
