A person lost their life on a bicycle ride.

Do you realize this is the first time to happen in the history of LACM and Midnight Ridazz?

I believe that If the police car escorts were not interfering this may all have been prevented.

I seriously am opposed to the unnecessary police presence on LACM.

I strongly urge you all to boycott attending this oppressive ride made dangerous by the police. Find an alternative event to attend. Do not allow this parade of authoritarian display to continue.

Ride safely, use common sense, and keep bike rides free from dictatorial control.

For the sake of the memory of young Jerico, do this for him.

I love you Borfo and I agree with your assessment of LAPDCM and they way its being run right now.

However, I don't think its really fair to blame this on ANYBODY without the absolute facts in the case.

The ride, the road, the cops, his bike, his lack of safety gear, the unsafe actions of other riders, etc. may have all played some part or no part at all in the tragic passing of Jerico.

However, I feel too many people have used this tragic event as excuse to harp on whatever agenda they have and will probably always support.

Many of us here have had the pleasure, duty, task, job, challenge of leading a ride.
I have seen some horrible fucking accidents on rides before.
Not every crash can be blamed on organizers or leaders ... we have all had the experience of a ride going awry. We don't tend to jump to blame somebody if its a friend or group we like. But when we have an issue with something or someone, people tend to be pretty quick to pass the blame. When it happens to us as cyclists, we rightly respond with anger and indignation. (remember the condoms and bear bottles found after the K-Town crash?)...

Anyway, out of respect for Jerico,
I just want to say rest in peace.
If we are a little more safe out there and a little more conscious perhaps we can do some justice to his memory.

You might want to be alone when you watched this. The eulogies to this guys make it sounds as if he was a really upstanding person. The type of person as what I always thought ridazz should strive be to each other.
