Tonight's rides seem kinda LAME. Which ride do you expect the majority of riders to go to tonight? Since I like to ride in large packs, I don't expect many people to go on a ride to go look at hipster art or eat Nigerian food.

It meets at CRANK MOB Park (Where Venice and Culver Blvd meet, in downtown Culver City), at 8pm. I can't tell you more than that because I don't know any more than that -- this thing's been shrouded in mystery since forever.
don't hate on other people's rides, man, nobody's forcing you to go to any of them. if you got better ideas why don't you start your own. and maybe i'll go to yours cuz i'm not into art or nigerian food either.
Who the fuck is ashira? And I don't give a shit if ahsira has done "something" for the riding scene. I ride because I enjoy riding; not for benefiting the "scene".
And I rolled through there with some homies earlier, these "artists are exactly those "artist" that shit on their own sculptures and sprinkle ball bearings on top of them to acknowledge the industrial revolution of their neighborhoods.
I'm not hating, I had the disclaimer :"NO OFFENSE" to indicate that I i'm not hating, I'm just not interested in these rides. Now that I know Robotz is going on tonight, I'm goin to that one. I've been on it before, its pretty fun.
being part of midnight ridazz means being in the bike scene. ashira and her art will be part of midnight ridazz for years to come. as for you, not a damn thing.

I just wanted to know if there were any other rides tonight. I guess you can't ask because a lot riders are to hyper-sensitive when someone doesn't find their ride interesting.

You're welcome to your opinion on what is or isn't "hipster" art... but if you were in a gallery talking to the artist face to face I doubt you would have the balls to be as harsh as you were in this thread.

I was there and I didn't like most of the art. So what? You can't expect everyone to like your taste in art, even if you're close to the artists themselves.
Hey, the guy's entitled to his opinion about hipster art and Nigerian food.
On the other hand, hipster art and Nigerian food are also entitled to their opinions about him. So I asked them. They said that although he's kind of dull, narrow-minded and provincial, he's basically an OK guy who needs some guidance. They think he'll probably be pretty tolerable once he grows up and learns some social skills--no offense (they were really insistent that I include that part)--but that he can't learn unless somebody teaches him.
I think we could all learn something from hipster art and Nigerian food, don't you?

The beauty of this site is if there isn't a ride to your liking on any given night you can start your own. You can pick the start and the stops and the route. You can avoid all the food and art in town if you want to. No need to wait for someone to do it for you.

All they asked in return was for the people to show up and have a good time. To that I say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. The lineup for all the bands playing was awsome, and all for FREE! There were shit loads of rides all which would have beed a great way to spend the day. The problem was too many rides and shit going on!

Yes. Like I said, next time i'll be more sensitive when I find some of the events boring, I just won't mention it. I keep forgetting this "scene" finds it blasphemous when someone doesn't find their event interesting. I;m not the only rider that found it boring, should we apologize for that? And fulla the idea that if you are disheartened by the multiple bike events on offer in Los Angeles on a given night (in contrast with, say, San Francisco or Portland or New York or Austin, really bikey cities that don't have multiple events every night), maybe think about hosting one that is more in keeping with what you'd like to see. You said you weren't the only person who wasn't thrilled with Saturday's events. So ... yay. What an opportunity.

After all, unless I'm reading something wrong (admittedly, my Street is a little rusty), the people cited by Mr. Cantsee as sharing his disappointment with the festival were in fact the homies with whom he rolled to the event. If true, then his alternative ride (The Incurious Ride? UnSpoken Art? Forge and Don't Gorge? Self-Satisfied Saturdays?) would have a built-in audience. A small one, to be sure, but Midnight Ridazz itself started with eight.
I have to agree with AlexCan'tSee. Why can't complain about rides we haven't been on yet? No offense but when the ride description doesn't capture my imagination I'm going to complain! All you people can't see the truth and follow this shit religiously!!! wtf!!!
