It was recently brought to my attention that there are some sketch characters on MR. I try my personal best to "like" everyone, and approach riders in a friendly manner. I was told recently, from a fellow rider that (s)he had been receiving unwanted attention and advances from another rider. Ok, who am I kidding, what guy here received unwanted attention from a female.
I would strongly urge all riders to adhere to their own set of moral standards and conduct. However, you must know where to draw the line. Certain creepers have repeated patterns, and though this was solely my assumption, my gut nerve was right, and one of our fellow riders does not feel safe coming out to certain rides where this other rider may show up.
This is not a personal bout, no drama between the two riders. It is strictly unsolicited advances that warrant harassment. I do not wish to cal you out, as to tarnish your name, but your actions cannot be tolerated.
I sometimes find a few riders, that come out to these rides, under the impression that this is like speed dating. Holy shit you're wrong. I mean this guy literally only comes out to the ride, should there be a female present. He will always come to the start, check around, if there is a girl, he'll stay, if not he leaves. During the ride, he will break off when the girl does and even attempt to follow her home.
This is desperate, nasty, and pitiful. You come out to rides, because bicycles are a common factor. We run in a group mentality. For you to give us shit attitude, in the absence of a lady, already makes us dislike you. But I heard what you did, and I am not OK with that one bit.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are being harassed within the group, please let the trusted ones around you know. Situations as such need to be mediated and resolved before escalation occurs. There is no reason for any rider to feel uncomfortable around someone else at a ride, ESPECIALLY WITH THE LACK OF ANY INTIMACY.(used loosely)
If its personal drama you're dealing with, I DONT GIVE A FUCK.
Seriously. Go look for your women to harass on craigslist. MR.com is for bicycles.

that's so sad that someone goes to rides with the intention off hooking up. it's also sad that they don't get it. if someone declines your advances, they're not playing hard to get. they just don't feel you. suck it up and move on. don't harass someone into "liking" you, although it'll never happen. i don't know you, so i don't wanna assume you're just some psycho stalker. i'll assume that you followed her home to make sure she got there okay? maybe you were hoping for some extra points?
even then, that's an act of desperation and mad sketchy if she didn't consent or ask you to.
please, move on and treat your fellow riders with respect.

the only reason i actually made a post about it, is because it not only happened once but several times.
its one thing to get turned down once, or twice. but repeat offenses is harrasment.

Eh, I gave up on "game-chasing" a long, ass time ago.
Now I just focus on getting/doing work, and trying to get on the football team.
