We're doing a special series of photos for SOULSTICYCLE ! (that awesome art show organized for ridazz by ridazz on June 20th)
I need 10 people to ride MINIBIKES (kid's bikes) in pursuit of Roadblock in DOWNTOWN near USC.
The only thing i would need the volunteers to bring: a BLACK HOODIE with no logos (or that could be turned inside out to hide the logos).
the mini bikes, the masks, and the costumes will all be provided for you. all you have to do is show up wearing a BLACK HOODIE. (everyone needs to be wearing the same thing.)
We're all going to meet-up, and get dressed at the studio, then ride the 2 blocks to the location. We will then come back to the studio and take another picture together.
The final photo(s) will be on display at the soultiscycle art show at ghetto gloss in silverlake, June 20th. (i suggest you attend if you can, and support all the ridazz who on the roster, and the ridazz who organized it!). i won't be able to make the photo public until the show is over.
If any of you have smoke bombs(although i highly doubt it).... PLEASE BRING ME SOME!

wouldn't it be cool if someone knew how to make a black hoodie to fit tv man's head and then they told tv man to ride any crazy vehicle they could think of on this shoot, and he rode around on a little pink hoverboard like that one dude in Nike's did 80s style.

you be provided with the bottom half of the costume, but if you could wear black shoes and socks, tha'd be great! if not, dont trip. all you guys need to concentrate on, is getting a blank black hoodie.

im leaving burbank to ride to the noho redline station around 7 to take the redline to 7th and metro and then riding the rest of the way from there. i normally ride to the universal city station because its closer, but i can ride the extra mile to noho to meet up with anyone else who is heading that way. whos down to caravan?

thank you everyone who showed up, helped out behind the scenes, were IN the scenes, cleaned up, made a beautiful crussy mess, ordered pizza, ate pizza, got crunk, got on the webcam, wore baby heads and black hoodies, rode mini bikes, pretended to ride mini scooters with one wheel (dayna <3), showed up on their birthday (tarsis <3), gave support and were awesome enough to stick it out all the way to the end.
the photos are great!
half credit goes to ROADBLOCK for processing and editing the mosey cuddle puddle TV man photo in the gallery. And for putting up with being chased by a mob of tape monsters with baby heads in hood, being taped and tied to a chair, and being molested by a dozen creepy looking ridazz in baby heads and hoodies. he's amazing isnt he?
Big thanks to TV MAN!!!!! who showed up with his body guard and a bottle of fine desert champagne. so classy.
Ultra thanks to Flaunt magazine's Drury Brennen and Ardella Saffron for being muse-lovelies and taking behind the scenes documentation.
RBI and Atom for rocking the minibikes like they were BMX bikes
Barleye and Tarsis for showing up early and putting the masks together.
So many people showed up, its hard to make a comprehensive list.
Steph, for organizing the mosey to come through! we couldn't have done the last photo without you guys!
LAPD for being chill. + The helicopter for providing a nice backlight.
I really want to save all the photos and debut them at the SOULSTICYCLE show, but i might send out some out-takes and behind the scenes and 'making of' shots to those that were present.
im so fortunate to be a part of a community thats so ready and willing to surrender themselves on a whim and a moments notice for the sake of a fun time and art.
There is confetti all over my life. and beer cans on every possible surface in here. it smells like CrussMob. It feels like heaven.

Ahhh that's what I love about the photo... the fact that the screen is dead... the light behind him the last gasp of the industry attempting to shine itself and remain relevant.... I have no idea if sarah meant for her photo to be interpreted as such but that's what makes Sarah's photography so genius... so many ways to see it and interpret it.

no, he just stood there. i wish he would take the tv mask off and just hang out with everyone instead of trying to force some mysterious persona. maybe it was the w33d, but to me, when he was standing there not really knowing what to make of sarahs directions when he was modeling for her, it seemed really awkward. and his "bodyguard" just sat on the couch in the back fiddling with his phone and looking bored.

drury brennan is a reallllly good friend of mine, ill tell him about the show, but he's a busy busy guy. i hope he comes with his lovely girlfriend Ardella Saffron (that girl who was t the shoot with the bright red hair).
He was pretty infatuated/intrigued with TV Man... but then again, who isn't. If i can convince TV man to make it, then we've got a better chance :)
