Anybody else to think that California should be split into two, separate states?
The North tends to lean towards more viable transit alternatives while the the South is trying to maintain a deathgrip on a shit lifestyle that's been since the 50's.

And then there's Cascadia!!!

Traffic in the Bay Area is just as horrendous as it is down here.

If you can afford to live in SF, yes, it's fine, but if you have to get to the South Bay or the East Bay, you're pretty much hosed, especially if you want to go out at night and come home after Bart stops running.

It's just that CA hasn't upgraded enough of its infrastructure to keep up with the population growth, either roads OR mass transit.

Last time we were up there we were stuck in Oakland after the BART stopped. We ended up getting back to SF on the bus. It was easy and effortless at 4am. And the bus was on time!
