Lets try something a little different.
1st WNDSRS of the month we ride and play some games
2nd WNDSRS of the month we ride and then have sprints.
3nd WNDSRS of the month we'll have a race of some sort and more games.
Points will be awarded for winning games andparticipationg. On the 3rd WNDSRS points will be added up and a winner will be announced. Prizes? Maybe..

went down I did... i decieded it would be a great idea to take lake balboa thinking it would be the safer route as weve done countless times before. it would have all gone as planned if only bad luck hadn't reared its ugly head. coming off the last right right turn on the bike path from the lake i came accross a closed gate. normaly this would not have presented any kind of a problem however i was doing about 21 mph on the path. big mistake. no amount of skidding braking or a combination of the two could have helped me stop in time. believe me, i did both. leaning forward on a skid is fine if youve got enough distance to stop. i had roughly 20 feet between me ant the closed gate. at that point it was either go down or go over the gate. i did neither. in a panic i locked my front wheel, having been already in a forward lean i propelled myself over the bars and landed partially on my arms and face. baad times.i have a few lacerations on my face but nothing that wont heal to leave bitchin' scars. im alright though, just a bruised ego. catch you guys on the road.

Looks like a good route. I suggest staying on south (or is it west) Cahuenga to drop into hollywood. The other side is a one way into traffic and you end up being pretty far into the lane to avoid debris.

Question... Is you Windsor frame built by Windsor in Mexico, or by Ian Alsop who used to make the Windsor Pro in Satalite DF? Reason for the question. I have a framset built by Ian back in 1972, and he has the name RaySport on the frame, and he told me about the Windsor Pros back in the early 1970s.

First, let me just say that I have wanted to go the Colorado Street Bridge AKA "Suicide Bridge" for awhile and this seems to be the best/only way there. I scouted the entire path today and through some kind of evil magic it appears to be uphill both ways (or feels that way). Seriously though, this route does kind of suck royally--LOTS of climbing, a few patches of really rough road, and a stretch through gang territory. However...it is doable, the bridge is super cool, and I think those who survive may even enjoy the experience (*after* it is over).

...and we're back! Yup WNDSRS has returned. Now, I'm not as fast as Mr. Matt 'Speed' but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good hustle. I'm shooting for a 25-40 mi ride at a pace of 16-20+mph. Basically, faster than MNR, but not as speedy as Bicykillers. We'll do one stop and try to be back to the start sometime between 10:30 and 11 pm.

It's May and the nights are getting warmer!
Alright, this week we're going downtown...and beyond. The route may end up being on the long side (+/- 40 mi), but it should be fun stuff. Hint: if you love Tequila, you may want to bring some money and a bag.

Let's be clear here: On Wednesday nights the NoHo RedLine station has been and always be WNDSRS' meeting spot. Just because a group of squatters on bikes decided to come along in our absence and start their ride there doesn't change a damn thing: this time and place *belong* to WNDSRS. If people get confused as to which ride is which, well...let's just hope they can keep up.
