only the first three movies sucked (1,2 and 3) - 4, 5, 6 are just "classic". sometimes, i'll watch all 6 in a row. then i can stand the first three. i've done this 4 times.

i really hope that this ride HAPPENS!
1. because this is the traditional MR ride - MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!
2. i have a group of awesome people that i work with, that live close to the downtown area, that are totally coming out for this!!!
3. ima bringing the West East - we be riding out that night for some good ol' Lightsaber action!!!!

I don't want to assume too much, but this certainly has the
appearance of a fake account, or possibly a newbie Rida who has no idea what they're doing.
Of course, it could be a newbie Rida who is actually quite capable and awesome, but how are we supposed to know the difference unless we hear something from the ride organizer?

i think it'd be a nightmare if a newb hosted a ride. not that it's not possible but if we at least had a few people helping it'd be nice. 2nd friday rides aren't like "hey let's go here" kind of deals...

There has been no response from the organizers for a week.
Barleye, step up and make it happen. Or let's all work together on something.
The route should be pre-planned and tested. - Announcements should be made so people can plan for it. - Music trailer person can get list organized. - Spoke Cards. - Etc. - Etc.
New people are of course allowed to come up with a 2nd friday ride. The first time I did one I asked Roadblock, saved the date, made announcements, and I worked with veterans who knew what was going on. It appears the person who originally stepped up for June dropped the ball.
Somebody due it, because I really can't right now!

now that we've had a beer - Abbotts pizza - spent a lazy non-Pier Pressure ride on the Westside, i think i can say "you be lame-o" !!! LOL!
yea - we shouldn't do repeat - themed rides - agreed - then come up with something else - you - Pier Pressure in DTLA? at night? UNHEARD OF!
ha! or since most people "not in the scene yet" - hehehe - haven't done this theme, why not, and i speak from experience ... i was not when this happened.

I really liked the route that the bike marathon did this past weekend. Do you guys think that would be a good route? approx. 20 miles in length. ...let's just ride and have fun. anyone agree? personally i still like the 1 HIT WONDER theme...dress as your favorite one hit wonder....
I'll help out as well by attending a spoke card cutting party. i have a laminator and enough laminating sheets for about 200 cards if it's 6 per sheet.
