WTF Bike Boom?

Is this site functioning?
It's such a mystery.
It would probally be the premiere place to check ride listings because of its calandar at-a-glance format. I could see bike boom being the craig's list of national bike ride listings.
Except ... there is no information on how to register or post a ride. The guy has never responded an e-mail of mine after several different polite attempts over the past few months.
I've heard Bike Boom is dead. Is this true?
What's the deal?

Check out the listing for May 31st. Just posted it. The webmaster, has been too busy to answer emails. I know he wants to, but has other pressing matters. There is pleanty of people who have accounts on bikeboom that you can hit up to post things. Just ask your friends.

Thanks for the offer.
I might take you up on it sime time.
But still ... whats the point of having a community calandar that the community can't post rides to? I'm kinda new ... did Bike boom just fall off at some point?
I get the busy thing ... to a point. I know alot of busy people, but they still answer emails within a week, or a month, or two or three.

I've got a password too if anyone needs something posted. I talked to lars at one point and if memory serves, he took off the public posting part because of spam problems. Anyway, cut the guy some slack. He's busy. It's his site, so let him respond when he's ready. If you don't like it, start your own bike calendar site.

All respect due to Lars, I am sure he is a swell guy. And the site is of course really good. Or nobody woudl give a shit.
But it is a real frustration and waste of time for a lot of people to have a public site with no information on how particpate and no indication that e-mails will not be answered.
I dont know how to make a clandar site. But i do know that it takes 5 minutes to post a note to tell people that you are too busy to register new memebers or answer email ... and that 5 minutes would save dozens of people several hours of confusion, frustration, and wasted time.
I've learned more here as the result of a 5 minute drunken rant here, than i did in the hour or more i've spent trolling Bikeboom for answers and penning thoughtful emails about rides i was trying to organize and why i'd like to post them on bikeboom.

I guess if you don't like it, you should build a better mousetrap. Lars sent me the stats on his site and it gets hammered, we're talking 10's of thousands of hits. He's doing it for free, and most likley has no help to man this thing that obviously was so good of an idea he got overwhelmed by the response it got. Any web monkeys out there willing to lend a hand or build a companion site to help with the load? No? Ok then, eat your peanuts in silence. Lars is the man. End of story.
