So much for the "coastal elite".
On a lighter side, perhaps some cool shit of nautical interests will be washed up on the shore.
One mans disaster is another mans destiny!!!

Sadly, a run of the mill weather disaster is turning to something even more horrible.
http://www.democracynow.org/2011/3/14/japan_facing_biggest_catastrophe_since_dawn
"Japan remains in a state of emergency three days after a devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the country. An estimated 10,000 people have died, and Japan is facing the worst nuclear crisis since the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On Monday, a second explosion hit the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, and a third reactor lost its cooling system, raising fears of a meltdown. Radiation levels have been detected as far as 100 miles away. Dozens of people have tested positive for radiation exposure, and hundreds of thousands of have been evacuated, with the number expected to rise. [includes rush transcript]"

That's some good news at least.

Tsunami and earthquake rock our worlds for the moment, but for those who survive, we can always clean up and rebuild.
As for the radioactive waste leaking into the atmosphere, that is a different story. Tthe half life of that poison is longer then the major religions have been around. If people who calculate the winds are correct it should be here in a couple of days.
I got an email from a health supplement supplier that I buy from who said :
Based on the wisdom of a dear friend who is a natural heath bio-warfare specialist, Dr. Tim Binder who published a guide, The Biological, Chemical and
Nuclear Handbook (http://www.bigmedicine.com/store/defense/#handbook),
the simple recommended step to help the body eliminate any radio-active
isotopes that may enter a person's system from exposure is to mix org.
red miso paste and nori sheets into soup daily. Frankly, I can't explain why
the fermented soy bonds to the radioactive materials, but there is a story
about two hospitals equal distance from nuclear blast in Japan in that
demonstrates the benefits--one hospital fed everyone miso soup with
nori to all the staff and patients and those people survived, but the other
hospital didn't do the same and everyone died of the radioactive poisoning
Who knows how true that is, but I like miso soup anyways so I'm going to add it my diet. Along with what our military puts out with it's so called "depleted uranium" hot bombs and what is still floating around from Chernobole it's worth a try.
I paid $6 for red miso past and $7 for some nori at the local korean supermarket, plus I got a six pack of Hite for $5.
Thought I would pass the info along.
The ride starts at 8pm at your local sushi restaurant. Bring money for spicy tuna rolls, special spoke card prize for the best Ralph Machio Daniel-San outfit.
