San Fran bike tips?

Short notice, I know, but I'll be driving to San Francisco on Friday and staying for the weekend. I've got a few questions about getting plugged into the bike culture there. First, is there a site like Midnight Ridazz based out of San Fran? I'm looking for some cool group rides. Secondly, would you recommend buying a bike in SF, and if so where? I'm in the market for a road bike after being left in the dust too many times. Let me know if you have any tips. Thanks to all yall.

 If you live in LA, I always suggest buying local. Its better if you need a tweak here or there. Aso much easier for shop to warranty anything. The shop also gets to know you as a customer, and will respect that you purchased your bike from them.

The best acid is NOT at Haight-Ashbury. Go down to the end of the park and ask for Blueberry. Shes got it!

 Market to Mission st is the flattest most major route to get around, otherwise, I guess try to pick the street with the least elevation.

Keep in mind that the SF Bike Kitchen just moved further south, they're at 650 Florida St, between 18th & 19th (closer to the Potrero/Mission District).

If you park outdoors, keep all your ish locked, use a u-lock with the rear triangle method. Secure your seatpost, mofos will take anything they can get their hands on.
