Most of you are too young to even have seen this video but one of u2's only good videos was shot at the corner of 7th and Main Streets in DTLA. Appreciate what we have here in L.A. and see you on the Ride With No Name next Saturday 3/5/11.
Do you remember where you were when they boardcast that U2 was playing on the rooftop.I was working at a car dealership in burbank at the time almost went.
I do....I was working at 7th and Broadway in the State Theatre building painting hallways every Friday for a year or so. My dad managed the building. I went there to watch the filiming...

That day was a defining moment of my life. I heard about on the radio getting off the school bus that morning. It was the same day I was gong to start a new job.
The choice was to go the video shot or first day at the new job. I choose the job.
Bad choice, wish I would have went to the video shot. I think my life would have turned out a whole lot more fun if I went.
Does anybody have or know where the (I believe it is an SNL or MadTV) parody of this in NYC? That was so funny.
That not the one I'm talking about. It takes place in the summer and nobody is paying attention. The cops come up to check if they have a permit for the filming and the singer freaks out and starts crying about how "they are trying to shut us down"
The cop response "who are you talking to, nobody is around" the singer starts rolling on the ground in a conclusion and the cop is like "whatever" and walks away. its funny business. (something close to what I described)

Of course I remember this video, first saw it when I was six years old when I was sick at home from school.
VH-1, back when the recently "old" videos were rescinded to that channel.
