C.I.C.L.E. Presents: The Tweed, Moxie & Mustaches Ride with the New Belgium Brewing Slow Ride Sideshow

Calling all dashing, distinguished, and dapper bicyclists! Dress in your finest and roll through history during C.I.C.L.E.'s Tweed, Moxie and
Mustaches Ride!
On Sunday, March 1, C.I.C.L.E. (Cyclists Inciting Change thru LIVE Exchange), will lead a community bicycle ride, “Tweed, Moxie and
Mustaches” through Cypress Park and Glassell Park, to pedal back in time. This expedition, open to all bicyclists, will make several stops,
including the Heritage Square Museum, a living history museum, as well as the former Van de Kamp Holland Dutch Bakery, built in the
early 1900s. Participants will get a taste of history at each stop. At the final stop, participants will enjoy New Belgium Brewing’s Slow Ride
Sideshow, hosted by SSSsnake and Steiny, replete with bikes and bemusement. This stop will include the Slow Ride competition,
comedy, entertainment, beer specials, prizes and a raffle for a New Belgium Cruiser. Come one, come all, dressed to impress for this
annual event for dapper and dashing bicyclists everywhere!
As with all C.I.C.L.E. rides, this ride is accessible for all experience levels and is leisurely paced. C.I.C.L.E. rides are fully supported, led by
trained Ride Leaders and an EMT. The ride is 10 miles. Prior to the ride we will address safe street riding and group ride etiquette to
ensure smooth sailing. Although the final stop will serve as the ending point, bicyclists will be escorted to the starting location at the end of
the show.

Time: Meet at 12:30 p.m., the ride will leave promptly at 1 p.m.

What to bring: Bring water, a snack, bicycle lights and a bicycle in good working order. This ride is FREE and open to anyone, but all
participants should be able to ride a bike safely with the ability to brake, change gears, and balance while stopping and starting. All
participants under 18 MUST wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian. Children under age 8 should be on a tag-a-long, bike
trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device to participate in the ride. Please note: Participants must be 21 to enter the Verdugo Bar.
