Rainforest Ride
10.4.14
The Art and Science Festival is about to end this Sunday in Pasadena. BEFORE THAT HAPPENS! Let's go to a
hyper rainforest during the day. ♥
We'll meet at Pasadena City College in the very front of the mirror pools at 1PM and
ride out at 1:30PM.
This is only a 3-5 mile ride, one stop, very chill, no judgement whatsoever.
Shoot, I'll be dressing up as a butterfly. If you want to dress up as anything rainforest related, go for it.
I'm lookin' at you, lemurs.

Right across the street from the Norton Simon Museum a hyper-rainforest has been built by artist
Francisco Lopez, who has collected 20 years worth of recordings of rainforests around the world.
"Hyper-Rainforest has the possibility of being perceived as a simulation. Beyond that
immediate -and natural- reaction to this experience lies an entirely different possible territory: the realm of the
phenomenologically ineffable. Sounds are not only indexical or referential (the standard view). They have
their own life, their own ‘self-sufficiency’. They are the potential building blocks (substance, matter, magma)
of a self-sustained sonic virtuality not grounded in representation, but rather on the emergence of a more
free world."
