Santa Monica Museum of Art Presents: Tour da Arts, vol. 6

The Santa Monica Museum of Art’s annual Tour da Arts returns with vol. 6 on Sunday, August 24th! The Museum’s free, all day bicycle
festival and tour welcomes riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy art, music and dazzling performances. C.I.C.L.E. will lead a nine-mile
community bicycle ride with unique sights and sounds to three unique performances around the city including: a live shadow performance
with artist Miwa Matreyek at Santa Monica High School; an interactive music and movement concert with Anna Oxygen at Santa Monica
Bay Women’s Club; and a street theater performance at the Museum by Bike Odyssey LA to relive Homer’s Odyssey.

As with all C.I.C.L.E. rides, this ride is family-friendly, leisurely paced and will return to the starting point at the end of the tour. C.I.C.L.E.
rides are fully supported, led by trained Ride Leaders, an EMT and volunteers. C.I.C.L.E.’s Ride Leaders provide a safe and enjoyable
riding environment for beginning and experienced riders alike. This ride is 9 miles and will allow participants a break at each stop to enjoy
the art, performances and free refreshments. Prior to the ride we will address safe street riding and group ride etiquette to ensure smooth
sailing.

When: Sunday, August 24th, 2014
Time: The event starts at 12:00 p.m. Ride leaves promptly at 2:00 p.m. and will return by 4:30 p.m. for the final performance.
What to bring: Bring your bicycle in good working order. This ride is FREE and open to anyone, but all participants should be able to ride a
bike safely with the ability to brake, change gears, and balance while stopping and starting. All participants under 18 MUST wear a helmet
and be escorted by a parent or guardian. Children under age 8 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying
device to participate in the ride.

viable, healthy, and sustainable transportation choice.
