*INVITATION FROM A SURVIVOR*

Our brothers and sisters are being mowed down on the streets every day and are being left for dead.
From youth to seniors and everything in between, this tragic reality is looking more and more like a trend than
the tragic act of murder that it really, truly is.
Whether avid cyclists or leisure riders, this group of peoples deaths are being taken too lightly and being way
under-categorized in our court systems.
If a person attacks another person and runs from the scene leaving them for dead, gets caught. They can
easily receive a sentence of 25 to life with no priors.
If a pedestrian or cyclist is hit by a vehicle and left for dead. The average sentence for the convicted party is
only 1 to 4 years with no priors.
Does anyone else see the connection between both of these heinous evil acts and the problem with these
bullshit double standard laws?
A twisted modern day form of "segregation" is the only way it could be explained.
Making the decision to leave anyone for dead weather a vehicle or a gun was used should carry the same
heavy hand of the law and the minimum sentence of 25 to life.
The time has come for our voices to be heard. The masses have been assembled. The masses have spoken!
We the people want justice!
Join our voice, join our movement, and join our dream to be heard world wide!
Write letters, make videos, host events, and take action.
People should be able to travel as they need without fearing for their life every turn of the way.
Our grieving mothers and daughters must receive justice!
Our fellow fallen cyclists must receive justice!

If the laws will not change for good when needed, we must push for the laws to change for good!

I, Mario Lopez, a survivor from a DUI hit and run left for dead and temporarily paralyzed with a L1
compression fracture, broken leg, and road rash, invite you to come out and be a part of the voice that will
help in the fight for tougher laws. I invite everyone in California, everyone in the United States, and everyone
worldwide that believes in the beauty and importance of human life to come out and be a part of history as we
gather in a peaceful protest for justice this March 6th.
