Moonlight Mash September
09.19.13
***TIME CHANGE TO 7PM***
This is a slow to medium paced ride that takes place once each month under the light of the full moon. There
is a no rider left behind policy
which can alter the pace of the ride. On average we ride about 12mph.
This month there will be a new route, my goal is to really highlight the moon while we ride and to find a
place to take a break that allows for
some great photo ops. I am still working on it, and will do a test route on Wednesday the 18th at the
same time if anyone would like to join me
for that as well.
Where to Meet:
The meet spot is the same. We will meet on the corner of Buena Vista and Verdugo at Lincoln Park in
Burbank, CA at 7 PM and we roll out at
7:30 PM
For reference, Lincoln Park is 3.3 miles down the Chandler Bike path from the Red Line at the NoHo
Station.
What to Bring:
A bike in good working order (gears are a good idea)
Stuff to fix a flat just in case
Refreshments (your choice)
A snack if you need it
Bike lights
Friends
Under 18 you MUST wear a helmet and be accompanied by an adult as we will be riding past curfew.
Part of the goal is to create a friendly face for cyclists in Burbank, so we keep right, obey traffic signals
and call out hazards for other
riders in the group. Another purpose is this ride is a great place to bring someone who is new to
cycling. Most of all, good times will be had.
