Tired of air pollution and jet noise? Get on your bike and ride!

You are invited to a Bike Ride around Santa Monica Airport !

Sunday September 15th,

10am , Clover Park.

2600 Ocean Park Blvd, Santa Monica 90405

Meet at the southwest corner of the park, next to the Santa Monica Airport fence.

What an excellent way to enjoy a Sunday morning!

Santa Monica Airport is also a part of the city of Santa Monica that residents rarely see and use - and even
fewer see it by bike - or understand potential cycling connectivity relating to this space.

Come for a short 4.5 mile ride around the perimeter of Santa Monica Airport (SMO) in order to see and learn
about current issues relating to this facility and hear about potential creative new uses for this property.

Frequent stops for discussion. There are two short hills. Bring a lock, helmet and picnic if you like.

There is growing interest by many people in learning about Santa Monica Airport issues regarding Land Use,
Air Pollution, Noise, Safety,

Sustainability, Transportation and Quality of Life. For many people adjacent to the Santa Monica Airport, who
are severely impacted by the airport facility, there is significant concern about Air Pollution, Lead Pollution,
Constant Noise and regular plane crashes.

Even for many Santa Monica residents who do not live near the airport, they question the 1-2 million dollar
yearly cost of subsidizing the airport as well as the heavy environmental costs and lack of sustainability that
private jet travel represents. Many people also question why the city of Santa Monica runs a facility that is so
large, so expensive, so polluting and it yet is used by very few residents at all.

What if the Santa Monica Airport was converted into a PUBLIC PARK!

With a BMX track or a Velodrome?
