Jose Huizar's Bike Bashing Session, Pt. II
06.3.13
Councilman Jose Huizar wants to allow local newspaper editor and publisher Tom Topping and his personal army of misinformed locals to rage against bike lanes in another open-ended community forum.
You know, the kind that they show up angry to, hold anti-bike signs aloft, and tell everyone else from the area that we aren't really from the area? Yeah. It is going to be a hoot.
Topping has been able to assemble his troops by feeding them lies about the bike lanes proposed on Colorado Blvd. He has said that the lanes will remove on-street parking - false. He has said that the lanes will add "an hour" of delay to motorists - false. He has said that Colorado will become one lane in each direction - false.
Do you want these angry, misinformed, people to determine the future of our community? Do you want bike lane projects like this to go down in flames?
Stand up! Show up! Make some pro-neighborhood signs, bring your kids, friends, family, and let's have a bike lane love in at:
Eagle Rock Center for the Arts
2225 Colorado Blvd.

Let him know that you support bike lanes on Colorado AND N. Figueroa. If you live in the area, awesome. If you don't, who cares? You liv or ride in L.A., right? These are your streets as much as mine, or his, so have your say. Write him a letter (these have a big impact) at:
