Spoke(n) Art Ride on Saturday, March 9 2013 - Last Tango with the Bike Oven? Come save the Oven!

We are touring art galleries in North East LA once again this month. Come and join us!
The ride meets at the Flying Pigeon LA bike shop at 6 p.m. Our first stop of the night is at the Bike Oven.
We'll continue on our way from
there and should return to the Bike Oven around 10:30 p.m.
The Bike Oven has been going through some tough times, which you can read about below:
As many of you all know, we at the bike oven recently took a huge hit when our entire savings and many
of best tools were lost. now more than ever, we are relying on you guys, the awesome community of bicyclists,
to keep the oven cooking. over the
next 26 days, we the volunteers will be undertaking a variety of fundraisers to sustain ourselves while we
work on our nonprofit status
and find ways to overcome this setback.
In order to raise the rent and funds to file our nonprofit stuff many new things will be happening around
the Oven. Some of these include:
-new extended hours 7 days a week
-sale of yearly bike oven memberships (offering discounted stand time and other cool perks)
-a new set of classes lasting into the summer
-the auction of our permanent collection of art
…and more top secret stuff that we're working on…
Starting With Spoke & Art March 2013
As usual we shall be rolling out from the bike oven and go visit the various art galleries Northeast Los
Angeles Has To offer but when we
return to the oven this time we do it with pride in what we have accomplished over the years... the people,
the bikes, the memories!
We will be selling our permanent art collection that has been growing over the years in order to make
bills and rent while we figure out how
to sustain ourselves from here on forward whether or not we ever recover our funds.
Come down and party the night away at the bike oven (until we shut it down) cause it may be the last
time you will get to do so!
