The Bomb Squad 2013 season opener

Ok bitches. You think that you are hard. You may have some cool tattoos or some interesting facial hair or have lots of not real friends on

face book, but let's face the facts: If you have not done bomb squad yet you are a pussy. All you little bike crews out there spend way too

much time maxing your mustaches or sticking another patch on your vests, it means nothing. Taking a Hanna Montana bike and pointing it

down hill in the dark of night, this means something. So, let's see what LA has to offer, any takers? Afraid? The first hills are easy, you'll

have to stop texting for a few moments but for once, you'll feel alive. We dare you.

Feb 15th

Griffith Park Drive, meet at driving range 8pm gather, 9pm depart.

If you have not heard of this before here's the spiel:

Downhill rally on 16â€ kids bikes.

Rules of play:

Your bike must have 16â€ wheels and must be in a stock configuration. No upgrades except the addition of a caliper (the shittiest kind) style

brake may be added. No other upgrades or altering of stock equipment including tires may be made to the bikes. You can of course adjust

your seat/stem/bars/brakes to your liking, not like it will help. We want to avoid an escalation of riders throwing money into bikes that should

cost no more than ten dollars. Your bike should be a bike that can be easily replaced and will often be adorned with cartoon characters or

images of pre-teen pop stars, in other words: junk.

You are responsible for lighting, we are going to be doing night runs so good lighting is important if not critical to your survival.

You are also responsible for your protective gear, helmets are mandatory, and everything else is encouraged and we have found it has

made the difference between a crash you could laugh off and one where you get carried off.

We will be going down hill in mass; bike handling skill and a lack of self-preservation are paramount in this endeavor.
