AIDS LIFECYCLE 2013
It’s a 7-day, 545 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles that raises money and awareness for the HIV and AIDS services of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. This marks the eleventh year for AIDS/LifeCycle and the nineteenth for the event overall, and during the week of June 2-8, 2013, thousands of Cyclists and volunteer Roadies will come together to do something incredible. Something that will change lives. Something that YOU can be a part of! You only need to register; we’ll help you train and fundraise. What are you waiting for?
Why We Ride
We ride to raise awareness and knowledge about HIV/AIDS among participants, their donors, and the general public. We ride because the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center agencies need funding to provide the critical services and education needed to meet the growing needs of our community. Ultimately, we ride so that someday, we won’t have to.
Community
AIDS/LifeCycle is more than just the 7 days we spend together in June. What’s truly remarkable and unique about ALC is that participants, donors, sponsors, and staff work together 12 months a year to support one another in every way. Whether you need a bike, need help fundraising, or just someone to talk to, the AIDS/LifeCycle community is here to help you. And someday, it might be your turn to assist someone else.
