Pasadena/Caltech ride to CicLAvia

It's that time again--time for another CicLAvia! The Caltech BikeLab is leading a ride down, and if you're
Pasadena-ish, come join us!

Important details:
- Ride meets at 9 at the intersection of San Pasqual and Wilson. We're heading down via California ->
Orange Grove -> York -> Figueroa -> Pasadena -> Main. Maybe we'll wave hello to the folks meeting at Flying
Pigeon.
- Ride is very casual/friendly to beginners. Distance is ~ 10 miles, but we're heading downhill almost all
of the way. If you feel like hustling down, don't let me stop you, but you'll find yourself passing me early. Or
follow the lead of Helge the Great* and run all the way down, perhaps with the bike strapped to your back.
- Yes, we stop at stop signs/lights, and generally follow traffic laws. It's a nice Sunday morning--
what's the rush?
- We'll even do a few stops along the way to point out things of interest en route.
- We'll have a couple of tools and spare tubes, but if you bring a spare tube for yourself you'll earn our
immense gratitude.
- Speaking of which, you've got 3 days to get your bike in tune before the event. We're hosting repairs
at the BikeLab (California and Arden) prior to the event but there's not going to be much time to do much. Do
us all a favor and make sure things are running properly before we go.
- Costumes/weirdness are important for one's CicLAvia experience. I'll be wearing a tux in the
afternoon sun, what's your excuse?
- My cats, they are adorable. You have no idea.
