We ride early on this one (8 am) and we all need to stand up and be counted . Many of us are not winning our clashes with cars. We are in a culture that has not yet embraced bicycling. We get yelled at, we get trash thrown at us, we get spit on. I do not think they know the laws, they like to intimidate with their large metal barges. In any circumstance we lose. It hurts. We die. If you are reading this then you know we keep riding regardless. This is our chance to come together and show the world, under the light of day, how strong and large a force we have become. By sheer numbers we can show John/Jane Q public that we are here to stay. Ok it is a little intimidation on our part. But it is right to push back, we are being assaulted all the time. This can only change by education. We need to be noticed. There will be TV coverage. Newspapers. Bicycle magazine writers. Let's show the world what we are, let's tell them what we need. Lets show our bond with these fallen riders. I ride to live!
