MAYDAY GENERAL STRIKE - DWNTWN CONVERGENCE

I haven't talked to a lot of you since we almost shut down Spring St. during the ArtWalk ride last Autumn. I
remember talking to some of you back then, and a lot of us feeling that our activism was practice for
something bigger. And then one month later Occupy LA happened. After an eventful winter, Spring is here,
and things are about to get epic.


On May 1st, Occupy is teaming up with immigrant rights groups and labor unions to shut down the city
and remind the 1% how powerful the people are when they unite and hit the street at the same time. There
will be 4 slow-ride parades with bikers, decorated cars, skaters, and even some parade floats / art cars.
These four separate parades will start at the 4 corners of the city at HIGH NOON and converge downtown at
4th and MAIN at 230. There we will take victory laps around downtown and celebrate with some of the other
exciting rallies happening throughout the day.


At 4p we will meet up with other biker groups for a RUSH HOUR CRITICAL MASS RIDE to drive the
point home to the city of Los Angeles!


So, find one of the 4 routes LISTED BELOW and join the celebratory mayhem. I'll meet you all at the
230 rally point at 4th & MAIN. I'll be the bearded guy in the bright yellow construction helmet. If ya'll have
