Quoteth the Acid Queen:
Y’ know, every now and then, I think you might like to hear something from us nice and easy. But there’s
just one thing… You see… we never, ever do nothin’ nice.. and easy. We always do it nice… and rough.
So we’re gonna take the beginning… and do it easy… Then we’re gonna do the finish… rough!
Time to go, “Rollin’ on the River,” and enjoy
the last month of Daylight Savings Time. Twice. Tina stylee.
Mountaineerzz bring you not one, but two… two…
two rides in Rocktober! You missed the "nice" ride on the 7th,
so come and rough it out on Sunday 10.21.07.
The “Rough” ride will take us into the wilds behind JPL.
You'll do more climbing than you think you want to, before hitting some singletrack so sweet, you'll forget
all about the climb.
In an effort to keep this car-free, you can meet-up with us at Hollywood & Vine, Union Station or Memorial
Park. Due to the multiple meeting locations, we'll be sticking firm to these departure times so that the ride can
begin at 2:30pm sharp.
We'll have a brief roll on the asphalt from Memorial Park to the foothills of the Angeles National Forest; then
we'll get down and dirt-y.
So come on out ‘cause Tina and “I Wanna Take You Higher.”

Mountaineerz 3: The "Nice" Ride
Sunday 10.7.07
Mountaineerzz is a monthly, briskly-paced, all-terrain [ road & dirt ] ride.
Mountaineerzz love singletrack & fireroads yet embrace the pavement that gets them there.
Our initial focus will be on (sub)urban rides via paved streets to off-road trails.
Future events will include night rides and shuttle rides to outlying areas that are a little too far to bike to.
All Ridazz are welcome, but this ain't a ride for anyone new to off-road riding.
Think Wolfpack/Cubpack-with-knobby-tires, so those who don't have the skillzz may be left behind.
If you aren't riding a mountain-bike, crossbike, 29er, fun-catcher, single speed or any other quick,
singletrack-worthy bike you will likely have a hard time keeping up.
As we'll be riding technical trails in some remote locations, helmets are strongly
recommended.
